Little Alf ❤️ still with us and searching for his forever home
Alf is a very sweet little 12 year old Yorkshire terrier cross. Alf came to us through sad circumstances, he and his dad found themselves living in squalid conditions, his poor dad was suffering from dementia and couldn't care for himself, never mind little Alf. Alf's dad has now moved into care and Alf has come to us to find a new home. When he arrived he had a large mass on his bum, which sadly ruptured causing a huge bleed where he was rushed to the emergency vets. The mass was removed and Alf has now made a good recovery. Alf has since had dental surgery, and has been chemically castrated, this is due to his complications in the past, with him having an undescended testicle that the vet couldn't find, it was too big a risk to put him under for a prolonged procedure.
He just loves everyone and everything. He's great with all dogs and children too.
He's met lots of different dogs of all shapes and sizes and is so excited to see them. He Loves his food and especially his gravy bone biscuits. He is quite good on the lead. Loves men especially, he follows his foster dad around when he's home .
He's settled in the car now as he knows it usually means it's walk time.
Loves being able to potter in and out of the garden throughout the day and he Likes snuggles! ❤️
Alf cannot live with cats.
Alf is in a foster home in Leyland. If you can offer him a home, please read our rehoming policies and procedures before completing an adoption application

Fig is still in need of a forever home!
She is an 11 week old German shepherd cross rottweiler and is great with children of all ages, although does have sharp bitey puppy teeth and is very much in the teething stage. She needs to learn everything from scratch and we encourage all new owners to attend puppy socialisation classes too.
Fig has a head wobble and she is deaf, so she is looking for an extra special home. The vet has confirmed that this is nothing to be worried about and causes her no issues, the wobble seems to have improved as she gets older. She is a firm favourite with everyone as it just adds to her sweet, playful character! She would benefit from another dog for company and to be her ears.
She is vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and flea treated.
Fig is in Birkenhead. If you are interested in offering her a home, please complete an application form here

Happy new home to little Pippa ❤️ she has headed off with her new family today. Enjoy your new home Pippa 🥰
We are so happy to let you all know that our special needs pup, Blossom, has found her forever home ❤️ she will still be under our care due to her medical needs, but she now has a lovely family where she can now be the centre of attention and part of a family home ❤️
Happy new home to little Bonnie 🥰 she has found her forever home today, good luck gorgeous girl 💕
Little Blossom has come on leaps and bounds over the past few weeks and continues to improve as she grows ❤️ so much so, we are now looking to get her lined up with her forever family, as she desperately wants to socialise and have more attention!
Blossom is an 11 week old Pomeranian (dob 20/05/2024). She is a complex medical needs dog due to her having hydrocephalus and will need a special home. She was due to undergo surgery for a shunt to be fitted, but due to how well she has responded to medication, the op has been postponed until she is older, depending on how well she does on the medication over the next few months will determine whether or not she needs it at all. The op will be a lot safer when she is older, so this is something that anyone that adopts her must take into account, as she will need to be taken to the specialist vets in Runcorn for this.
We are still unsure as to weather or not blossom has full vision, it is quite common for dogs with hydrocephalus to lose their sight and she can still circle a little too but is to be expected. You'd never know though as she acts and plays just like all pups her age do!
Her personality is so funny, very mischievous and cheeky. Her foster mum loves it when she attempts to try new things, like jumping on furniture or running and jumping on her, she’s getting more confident, which she loves!
Blossom enjoys her food, with her medication twice a day, she takes it very well, it's just 2 small tablets.
Little Blossom is a sweetheart who loves a cuddle and you get a lick on the face too, she loves to play with her stuffed teddies, the more the better, her favourite one at the minute is a shark teddy, she sleeps really well at night and likes to have her teddies around her in bed, sometimes she has to be woken up in the morning for breakfast.
We feel she would be fine to live with gentle children and she may also benefit from living with a calmer dog too, especially if she does lose her sight, she is young enough to live with cats and other animals too.
She enjoys a good run around in the house or garden and likes to investigate, she will use the puppy mats for toileting and has done for several weeks now.
This little lady is truly a joy to foster, to see her happy, wag her little tail and play is absolutely heartwarming.
She is fully vaccinated, microchipped and has been treated for worms and fleas.
Blossom is in a foster home in warrington
If you can offer her a home, please apply here:

One week old today ❤️
Dora and all 12 pups are doing well, but it has been a week of sleepless nights and bottle feeds for us 😴😴😴 Dora is doing great, her c section wound is healing lovely and she is such a good mum, doing her bit by making sure pups are cleaned after feed. Her milk has started to come in too, so she is managing to feed some of them, although nowhere near enough milk to feed all 12 of them properly. Fingers crossed they all continue to do well 🤞🏼🥰
(No adoption enquiries please)

A little update on Blossom, from her foster carer 🌸 "What a difference 6 days can make on the right medication, our little Blossom has gone from semi interested in toys, her head down and restless, to a little mischievous joy! 🥰 Her appetite has increased and she’s really enjoying her food, she uses the puppy pads and when you call her, she’ll come over to you, we have a cuddle and she licks my face ❤️ and as for toys, the more the better, I watch her on the doggy camera, she gets in position and you just know the Teddy is going to kop for it 🤣 the most heartwarming moments are when she wags her little tail, our girl is just scrumptious 🥰"
Little Dora went for her check at the vets last week, she is doing great in herself. The ultrasound Scan has confirmed what we thought, in that she is probably due to give birth within the next 2 weeks, around the very end of july. The information we were given when she arrived with us, was that she cannot give birth naturally and has had c sections in the past (like many frenchies, pugs and bulldog types :(), so as soon as she shows signs of labour (temp drop etc) she will be going in for a c section. This year has been none stop medical case dogs and wow do we have the vet bills to show for it too 😱 but each and every dog we take in is absolutely worth it ❤️
Darla, a stunning 6 year old Tibetan Mastiff, is in search of a loving home with someone who has experience of guardian breeds. Initially, Darla was brought to us from the stray pound with limited information. However, we have now been fortunate enough to get her complete history from a previous owner, which is a rare occurrence when dogs come from the pound. Having this information allows us to now find the perfect home for her. In the past, Darla has lived happily with two other dogs and has also lived with children. Tibetan Mastiffs are renowned for their loyalty as family pets, and Darla is no exemption. She is an incredibly calm and composed girl, and she walks beautifully on lead. She needs someone who is physically able to keep up with maintaining her coat. Darla does not get along with cats and needs a home without them. Darla needs a home where she will have company for the majority of the day. Although she is not destructive, she may become vocal, crying and barking, if left alone for too long. Darla is spayed, microchipped and re-starting her vaccinations, she is currently in Ormskirk. If you can offer her a home, please complete an application here https://www.joeyslegacyrescue.com/apply-to-adopt
What a transformation 💕 Just a few days ago Alf was in the emergency vets, we didn't know if he would be coming back out again after such a massive blood loss, fast forward a few days and look at him now 🥰🥰🥰 it's like nothing ever happened!
We are in search of a temporary foster home for the lovely Darla 🐾. Darla is a gentle and calm 6 year old Tibetan mastiff, she is friendly towards other dogs she has met. Darla was handed in to the dog warden by her owner. Although she has interacted with children before in her previous home, she has not lived with them. Therefore, we are seeking an adult only foster home with experience in similar large guardian breeds, for further assessments. Please contact us if you'd be interested in offering Darla a foster home until she is adopted, so she doesn't have to spend the summer in kennels 💔

Puppy foster carers needed. We are now being asked daily to take on so many unwanted young pups 💔 but with puppies needing so much time, care and attention, foster carers with a lot of free time are at an all time low. If you have time to help and can offer your home to a pup in need until they are adopted, please register with us ❤️🐾 https://www.joeyslegacyrescue.com/become-a-foster-carer

Handsome Mac is looking for his forever home ❤️ he arrived in our care from the stray pound as he was never claimed. Mac is approximately 3 years old and is a bulldog cross, he's around 29kg. Mac has been an absolute dream since arriving with us, he greets you with a wagging tail and is so loving, he just wants cuddles. Mac loves his toys and playing fetch. He will occasionally insist on a tummy rub by randomly throwing himself on his back. He has been very clean in kennels and not shown ay signs of stress when left, he loves his walks and is excited to see his lead, after his walk he has a long snooze. He has been fine walking past joggers and people and takes no interest, he takes treats very gently and eats his food slowly. He is strong on the lead but this is improving as he is getting used to more regular exercise. He can be a bit stubborn and will just sit down if he doesn’t want to do something. He is a bouncy, gorgeous loving boy, who will sit by your feet waiting for a cuddle. He also loves just sitting in the garden and relaxing. He travels well in the car and enjoys being out and about. Mac has mixed well with other dogs, he has been playful and excitable when meeting them. Due to Mac being a stray and having no history at all on him, we cannot place him in a home with children under 12. He has not been cat tested. He has been given a clean bill of health by the vets, he has started his vaccinations and is booked in for neutering next week. Mac is in Warrington Homecheck and adoption fee applies. Please read our rehoming policies and procedures before completing the application form below. All of our dogs are given rescue backup for life. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdFJgIbnfRJIznlqOOtGQQgSEICM5EzdloRu8P_VbnpIIZIvg/viewform?fbclid=IwAR2ET--fUN48Ig_vIEFpXQIENaT0pd5goQEx3b1k0NdETGDLvoKQwUCgh2M
Poor Milo is really struggling with his breathing, his foster carers are doing their best for him and keeping him as cool and calm as possible, his boas surgery is our top priority, we really don't know how he's managed to get through the last 3 summers, let's hope we can get him feeling more comfortable asap 💔
