Dog training classes in Alfreton Park (DE55 7AN) & Pinxton Miners Welfare (NG16 6LG). All dogs of any age, breeds, cross breeds, welcome.

K9FC is a fun dog training class run by myself, Judith Pownall, for the purpose of teaching pet dog owners how to train their dogs/puppies in basic obedience and practical/responsible dog ownership using reward based training methods. I would like to take this opportunity to make my position quite clear. I am not a Vet, Veterinary Nurse or Dog Behaviourist/Psycholo

gist. I will listen to any problems that you have with your dog but may well advise you to see either a Vet or Dog Behaviourist before you are able to continue with your classes. It is your responsibility to make sure that I am fully aware of any health or behaviour problems that you currently have with your dog. Even the most minor health or behaviour problems can affect your dog’s ability to learn and understand any new training. The information I give both verbally and written are practises that I have used because they work for me. This information is intended as a guideline to improve the relationship between dog and owner/handler. However each and every owner/handler and dog are individual and what works for one may not work for another. With this in mind it is the owner/handlers decision whether or not to follow the same practises. Only you know your own dog and you must do what you think is best for your dog.

We've been to Nosework games competition at canine collective today. Nev and Roxi worked really well.
Nev in level 2 got a 1st, 2nd and 3rd in individual games making him overall FIRST. 😳
Roxi in level 3 got 2,1st places and a 2nd in individual games making her overall FIRST 😳
We had a really good day 😊

Classes start again on September 10th 11th and 12th in Pinxton miners welfare wharf Road Pinxton NG16 6LG.

All these lovely puppies passed their kennel club good citizen dog scheme puppy foundation course this week.
Well done to all puppies and their handlers.
I look forward to seeing you all again in September to work towards your Bronze assessment.

All classes will be running this week. It's a large cool room, I'll have it well ventilated with windows open and blinds closed and plenty of cool water available for puppies and dogs.
We will be doing calm, quiet exercises, no running about!!!

We went to compete at Nosework Games today.
Roxi got a first place and overall first in level one.
Nev got a third place in level two.
We had a lovely day with Amy at canine collective.

🐾🐶🐕‍🦺🐕 PUPPY CLASS 🐕🐕‍🦺🐶🐾
I have a few places available for the next kennel club puppy foundation courses starting on Wednesday June 26th at 6.30pm and Thursday June 27th at 10am both held in Pinxton miners welfare wharf Road Pinxton NG16 6LG.
£55 for a 6 week course paid in full on the first one.
All puppies from fully vaccinated to 9 months when startting are welcome to attend they don't have to be kennel club registered.

We also had a mixed Bronze and Silver assessment.
Bramble the border collie and Cedar the Coker passed the Bronze assessment. Beau and Dolshki passed their Silver assessment.

Today we did the kennel club good citizen dog scheme gold assessment.
10 dogs brought their owners to have ago 6 passed Well done.
We've had lots of different breeds take part in the past. Today a few breeds for the first time passing the Gold, Pembrokeshire Welsh Corgi, Newfoundland and a
Whippet also a springer and a golden retriever. Well done to everyone taking part.
Thankyou to Amie for assessing everyone and Emma who kindly came along with a large scooter providing a distraction on the road walk.

Scent work class for pet dogs
Strictly none competitive!
We have a small group all doing well learning to find and identify where the odour is, owners learning to read their dogs.
They have been awarded a certificate and rossett for all their hard work 💥
