Location will be Bintree, Norfolk.
Cost: £75 per person.

A fantastic two days shooting in Yorkshire for the Golden Retriever Club of Northumbria.
We were kindly invited to shoot this fabulous place by Paul Wright
The spaniel handlers Andrew Robinson, Fiona Robinson, Janet Righton, Susan Hunton (sorry if I missed anyone) did a fantastic job of flushing all sorts of game for us and the retrievers.
And Stephen Sargent picking up with HPR.
Our tweed clothing by Tweedy Gromett kept us warm and dry in the arctic conditions.

Yesterday we had the privilege of welcoming Ali Schwind Shooting to teach a group of 7 ladies how to start shooting.
Ali was fantastic in encouraging nervous newcomers, and by the end of the session all the ladies had improved immensely 👌.
The feedback from everyone was incredible, and we highly recommend Ali 🌟
Thank you to the landowner for the use of a spectacular venue, and to Ian Richardson for supplying a clay trap last minute, when one of ours was playing up 👌

It shows it doesn’t need to be complicated you just need a field, a trap, a coach and good company 💥

Today is Mental Health Awareness Day, and by pure coincidence I ran in a retriever trial for the first time after spending the last few years battling with mental health issues and heart problems.
It was lovely to be back out, unfortunately I’ve had a bout of food poisoning the last couple of days which didn’t help.
I ran Edna, who had a couple of dry runs, managed one retrieve and then lost her confidence a bit and was eyewiped by the eventual winner.
It was lovely to catch up with friends I haven’t seen in a few years, some who have suffered similar problems.
So, please remember you are not alone, don’t suffer in silence.
As for trialling, onwards and upwards 💪

This will be an excellent opportunity for anyone wanting an introduction to picking up without any pressure.

We have been offered a Driven Day for Gundog handlers on a lovely shoot near Beccles on Saturday 19th October.

We have spaces for 3 handlers who would like to prepare their dog for driven field trials, or for novices to be put in a picking up scenarios without the pressure, and guidance/training will be provided.

Cost of the day is £170 per handler.
