Riodite Herbs For Birds Herbs for birds. Captive birds do not have this opportunity and by the time the bird is showing signs of illness it is sometimes too late to save them.

In the wild, birds have the opportunity to look for plants to heal and nourish themselves as soon as it starts to feel unwell, enabling them to stop illness as soon as it arises. Zoopharmacognosy (zoo = animal, pharma = drug, cognosy = knowing) commonly know as self selection or self medication is the term used for this innate ability that animals have to recognize which medicinal plants they nee

d in order to heal themselves. The captive diet is limited to what we feed them, if a bird needs certain nutrients it cannot tell us, if we add supplements to its feed it can’t avoid excess or imbalance. A strong immune system has the ability to fight off bacteria, fungi, yeast, parasites and viruses. Immune deficiencies are a common problem in captive birds, stress is often a major cause of this. When the immune system is weakened birds become more vulnerable to the development of infections and disease. Feather-Plucking is a very complex disease with dietary, environmental and psychological elements, very difficult to treat conventionally. Riodite herbs for birds provides a wide range of carefully and extensively researched powerful healing plants and nutrients to boost the immune system, balance hormones, improve health/wellbeing and prevent/treat illness and stress. Giving birds a chance to choose a more natural way to meet its needs can be a life saver.

I am very impressed with the Riodite heartache, stress, calming mix! We have property developers in next door, the noise is horrendous and freaking us all out. I made it as a tea and have been drinking it with my boys, it tastes really nice and the boys are really chilled out even when it sounds as if the walls are about to crash in! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/186339643679

The importance of calcium/phosphorus/Vitamin D ratio in the diet
I've just done an unintentional experiment in the importance of providing a balanced diet with the correct calcium/phosphorus/ ratio!
My birds were still being fed what is considered a good diet, sprouted seeds, fresh fruit and veg such as peppers, pomegranate, sweet potato, broccoli, blueberries, carrots, peas ect, but I was having a stressful week and hadn't mixed up any of the Riodite herb blends which I add to their meals daily. After a week they started to get a bit grumpy, they are in at the moment so not outside getting plenty of Vitamin D (The more unbalanced dietary Ca:P levels are, the more important it is to correct vitamin D3 levels) Three days of grumpiness turned into a bloodbath, they fought with each other, and I have a hole in my shoulder from a flying attack!
A lot of the foods I was feeding that week were on the moderate-poor calcium to phosphorous ratio list and without the added herbs in the Riodite support mixes which I add to their food at least once per day the balance was off. I mixed up the herb blends and added a tsp of the Riodite calcium mix in the morning and a tsp of the stress calming mix in their evening feed, by the next day calm had returned, all happy normal birds.
I was amazed at how quickly an unbalanced diet effected them and how quickly it was remedied. A lack of calcium or an incorrect balance of calcium: phosphorus: vitamin D can cause nervousness, plucking, screaming or aggression in all birds. It makes me wonder how many birds have behaviour problems that could be caused by the same imbalance? Most people would just blame hormones and not associate the behaviour with diet.
A list of foods with the calcium/phosphorus ratios can be found in the parrot hormone book, available on Amazon, https://www.amazon.co.uk/Parrot-Hormones-Complete-Reproductive-Supporting/dp/B0B5KQKQ3T/ref=sr_1_1?crid=121DNI34QJ59X&keywords=parrot+hormones&qid=1676677818&s=books&sprefix=parrot+hormones%2Cstripbooks%2C75&sr=1-1
Riodite herb blends can be found on Ebay.

Testing for food allergies in parrots
Food allergies in birds can cause a wide range of symptoms such as itchy skin, chewing, barbering, plucking and asthma.
Testing for food allergies has always been difficult as there is not a definitive scientific way to test parrots for allergies. The usual way is to use an elimination diet where you eliminate one food item at a time for several weeks to see If there is some improvement. This way can take months and is frustrating if you have a bird showing health problems.
My B&G Ted started having asthma attacks which were becoming more regular and each time he had one it would be more severe. To test for allergies, I first used surrogate kinesiology muscle testing, it showed Ted as sensitive to all nuts, which was upsetting as nuts were his absolute favourite food! But when I dowsed using the dowsing chart designed by Martin Wood at the Geopathic property Doctor it was a game changer! It instantly shows how severe the allergy is to each food, in Teds case I am now able to give him a walnut a day.
Dowsing is easy, anyone can do it, you just need a pendulum which is a small weight on a string or chain. It doesn’t matter what material the weighted object of a pendulum is made of, it can be wood, metal, glass or crystal. You can ask yes or no questions. Hold the pendulum at the end of the cord/chain, between your thumb and index finger. Keep your hand still or support with your arm on the table. Ask, “What is my yes?” Then you will see how the pendulum’s motion shifts, usually it swings in a circle. Take note of the direction it swings in and then ask for what your no will be, most likely a counter motion to the yes. I find it easier to use the dowsing chart shown in the video, you just swing the pendulum up and down the centre line and it swings to either yes or no giving you a percentage reading.
If you would like to purchase the dowsing chart I can email you a printable copy. Paypal £1.00 payment to [email protected]
