Heute ist der 18 Dezember und mit vereinten Kräften habt ihr schon

203 Näpfe gefüllt!!!!

Es macht uns zuversichtlich, dass da soviel Rückhalt ist für die Hunde, die bei Stefan und Suzanne im Shelter zuhause sind.
Die ehemaligen Streuner, die untauglichen Jagdhunde, die übrig gebliebenen Herdenschützer.

So langsam fangen wir an, zu glauben, dass unser persönliches Weihnachtswunder wahr werden kann.

Nach topaktueller Zählung sind momentan 245 Hunde im Gingerbread Sanctuary.

Also nur noch 42 Näpfe sind zu füllen.

Schaffen wir das???

Gibt es zum Jahresende lauter lachende Hundegesichter in den Bergen von Rachoni auf der schönsten aller Inseln???

Olly wool - I had saved 500 grams of his fur and had it spun into wool. It’s wonderful and will be a lovely keepsake.

The wool has his smell, even though it’s washed before it’s spun and it’s very dense.

I’m not sure that a scarf is such a good idea because it’s a bit itchy.

I might have to line it with soft faux fur fabric.
I might even start again and see if I can knit a hat or some mittens instead.

Whatever I end up making - it’ll definitely keep the cold out.

As I knit, Olly’s lying next to me, dreaming (& farting away 💩😷) 🤣

Mum's busy writing my new story. It's almost finished - she's just waiting for her editor to get back to her with the 'amends'. Mum's pretty good at grammar but has the odd word she gets mixed up. 'Saw' instead of 'sore'. That kind of thing.

She's told me the title and I love it.

I get to howl very loud and show everyone what I was like when I was younger. I didn't fight much, but when I did I was like a lion. Strong and very fierce. That's how I got some of my scars - I had to protect myself.

I'm not sure I could fight much now. If I see a dog I don't like, I turn around and go home to my comfy bed. I know what's good for me. And I always get treats. Peanut butter and banana are my favourite.

I'm very excited and can't wait to see the artwork.

Mum says the new book will be ready in the New Year - it'll be ready after payday. It’s a book for grown ups as there’s some nasty bits in it - but I’m the hero that saves the day!

I'll write again when the book is on its way to be typeset.

Oliver’s illustrated picture book - written with dyslexie font and told in rhyme - all about how Olly was saved will make a lovely Christmas gift.

Olly was lucky - there are so many who are left, mis-treated, unloved & uncared for.

The wonderful illustrations were created by hand by Ade Skermer a local artist.

A donation from every sale will go towards helping the amazing rescuers find other abandoned & orphaned animals a loving home.

£10 inc p&p (U.K. only - postal costs outside the U.K. will be up to £5 depending on EU or worldwide).

Mum's writing about me again. A new short story for grown-ups only as Mum says it's got some violence in it. Some nasty people get their comeuppance.
I wonder what part I'll get to play?
I hope it's a starring role.....

Mum said something about getting it ready for Amazon but I'm not sure I can travel that far.....In fact, I'm not going anywhere as I hate going in the car. I love my 3 beds, my kennel, my garden, treats and meals prepared.

But me starring in a new book!!! - It's all so very exciting.

Watch this space.......in the meantime, here's a picture of me turned into an NFT by a very nice man in New York. I've no idea what an NFT is but I really like what he's done with my photo.

If you ever get to NZ - this is a trip well worth doing. An experience of a lifetime.

Have you ever seen bioluminescence?

When the conditions are just right, we get the most magical experience when we head out night kayaking.

The official definition is "the emission of light be a creature" but we prefer the more magicla definition "the shimmering radiance of protozoans in tropical seas".

Tiny small creatures convert energy from the sun into beautiful radiant blue-white light that they emit when they are disturbed - by a kayak paddle for example.

It's a stunning phenomenon and one that we love to share with our guests.
