A lovely update on our gorgeous Bluebell. Look at this eye! The infection is gone. There are still loads of blood vessels where the sequestrum was. The vet did say that she might need some steroids to manage this, but pretty epic improvement. Back in a few days for check up but I am very pleased x

Bluebell update. The vet thinks the eye is infected but also the sequestrum is sloughing (coming off) so this part may not require surgery. Keeping our fingers crossed. Now to tackle the awful infection.

Poor baby! A HUGE HUGE thankyou to everyone who has contributed towards her care so far. We always do what's needed for these babies, but couldn't so so without your unwavering support. Thankyou xox

URGENT Appeal: Poor bluebell is also under the care of vets vision as she has a sequestrum. A corneal sequestrum is a part of the cornea which has died off and which is then rejected by the remaining healthy cornea. Its incredibly painful and bluebell and her sister snowdrop has an entropian where the eyelid is rolled in are already over 1k in treatment costs.

Its highly likely Bluebell will need surgery and maybe snowdrop too. Can you help us?

We have devesatatig news. Poor Ollie had to be put to sleep after going downhill very quickly

Thursday he didn’t steal his fosters tea as normal. Friday he slept all day so we started to worry. Saturday he was back to normal. Sunday Monday he stopped eating. He ate only if we hand fed him. Tuesday morning he refused his lickie. From Thursday to Tuesday he lost 1kg. He had no symptoms. He never cried.

The vets suspected either an undiagnosed cancer or perhaps something which caused his heart to fail. In any event it was kinder to help him over rainbow bridge.

We are particularly sad as he was so stable ar 2 8kg for so long. We had been talking about neutering him despite him not getting to the magic 3kg.

His Foster and I are incredibly upset. We wanted to thank everyone who has supported Ollie, prayed, shared and donated. He had nearly a year of lovely life, happy, quality time, food, cuddles and lots amd lots of love.

Sleep tight Ollie, we did our best. We love you. We will see you at rainbow Bridge

This is snowdrop looking much cleaner and her eye is improved. However our fosters vet thinks she has an entropian (folded in eyelid) so we are off to a specialist eye vet. Look at that pink tongue.

We have already been trying some first response treatment and will pop up a fundraiser soon. This poor little poppet also has gastro problems so is a bit of a tricky case x

Meet snowdrop and bluebell. Two lovely girls who have come in together. Poor old snowdrop has some very sore eyes so we need to get her to the vet to try and understand other than them not being cleaned if there is another problem x

Happy ever after: check out Tock!

Tock was one of our more tricky to home cats. We had her in Foster for nearly 2 years! When she arrived she was so scared she literally hid for months. Used for breeding she didn't understand humans and definitely didn't understand how to be a pet. After scratches, a few bites a series of problems she finally started to see her Foster and me were kind folks. After about a year, she started to warm up, and now look! I was worried she may regress for a while, but look at her in her new home! Tock would never have survived main stream rescue, she had a rocky past, but now I write this (all a but emotionally) she is happy. There is no greater gift. Thankyou to her amazing mum Julie for taking a chance on a shy cat. Thankyou for her awesome Foster Clare who just kept saying she didn't want yo give up on her amd the vets who definately didnt want to treat a cat going bonkers but who did and trusted our judgement. Thankyou to everyone who liked shared and commented to help keep our spirits up and find her this most perfect t home.

Rescue really does save lives. Yay tock!
