Just a bit of a PSA

You’ll then hear from me once your application has been looked over and successful you will then be invited to a private facebook group,

To new pet homes I will only home out trips of rats, and for homes with existing rats either a pair or trio,

Please note that I don’t breed to order, am a very small scale breeder and do not home rats under 8 weeks of age. From gestation to the time rats are ready to leave can be an absolute minimum of a 12 week wait.

The National Fancy Rat Society maintains a list of its members’ ratteries and studs as a convenience for the public but does not endorse any rattery or stud, whether registered or not, and accepts no responsibility for any rats bred by me nor any other breeder.

We are conscious that the concept of a homing questionnaire can sound quite daunting however it is the complete opposite. This form allows us to get to know you and it ensures us that the animals that we bring into this world are going to the best homes possible.

Break from the Babies Branch 😅

2026 plans:

The purpose of my first planned litters in 2026 was to see if Hugo could sire a couple of last litters for me to inbreed and cement the Cupcake part of the line. We’ve had one successful litter and whilst the babies haven’t produced any standard full chinchilla at this point cementing temperament was most important.

In a few weeks time I plan to do more chinchilla matings with a distant line breed to a Halcyon Chinchilla.

And then in 2027 (😱) aim to merge my current babies with any future potential offspring from the line breed litters!

When a dear friend said her dream variety was to breed badger I had an idea 💡

My dear Kismet TFM (mink badger) went on a holiday to meet Kismet Scratch (cinnamon vari) and there is now a pile of beans

We cannot thank Jem and Lew of Kismet enough for giving permission for this mating - we know there’s been difficult decisions their end and have so much love for them and the Kismet crew.
