Please if you're a cat owner don't have lilies around them.

It seems this needs saying yet again. If you have cats please please don't risk their lives by having lilies either in your house in vases or in your garden. I've just been in to yet another customer who has lilies in her house within easy reach of her sweet cat. Yes they look lovely and yes they smell gorgeous but is it really worth risking the life of your beloved pet by having them??? Please choose other flowers which don't have the potential to give your cat heart failure if they rub up against them and then ingest them through their skin. It's not just the stamens which many think it is and it doesn't make them safe by cutting them out. Please check out Cats Protections website. I have moved them to a locked room and have told my customer again about the dangers. If (as I know we all do) you love your cats please please don't risk their lives by having these flowers. I've spoken with one person whose cat died because of them (not one on my books) and I really don't want to hear of any others so will always do my best to inform people of the dangers of having them.

Gorgeous Patch is still up for adoption. She was a young mum who has recently been separated from her two babies as they have now gone to a new home. She seems a little lost without them and could really do with some love and attention right now ❤️

If anyone has any kitten food going spare Romney House Cat Rescue in Downe, Kent would really appreciate it as they're bursting at the seams at the moment after taking in nearly 40 kittens recently (and some of their mums too). Food can be sent via Amazon etc direct to them.

For anyone looking to adopt either cats or kittens please use your local rescues who are all full to bursting at the seams at the mo what with the explosion of pregnant cats and kittens.

I've been saying this for years.

It has come to our attention that pollen-free lilies are being marketed as a ‘safe’ option for cat owners. All parts of the lily are toxic, not just the pollen. A pollen-free lily will not be safe for cats and the advice to cat owners to avoid lilies remains the same. https://icatcare.org/advice/lethal-lilies/
