It's been really cold here...not freezing, but certainly feeling lke it. Cold damp cloud every day and not one glimpse of sunshine. We've just taken short walks as our furry chum has constantly pulled us to return home - happier in the warm cottage, snoozing and snuggling.
He knows what he wants and we let him lead the way.

Early morning fire 🔥
We have always had a romantic dream of an open fire blazing away in the huge fireplace of a thatched cottage and snuggling down with a beautiful furry chum...well that's where we're at right now and it doesn't disappoint!
We are so incredibly grateful for each and every house and pet sit that come our way and to be invited back, again and again.
We absolutely love this life!

Thanks to the stormy weather we are travelling on a very quiet A303 heading to our next pet sitting assignment.
An eventful journey with whirlwinds of debris on the A30 and getting hit by a flying bush.
All part of the adventure. 😁😁

She made friends with some guys from London today who told us there's another storm coming in.
Heading home for a couple of nights before we leave for our next sit...sounds like we'll need to hunker down again.

Getting lost in a murky Ladock Woods.
It was one of those occasions when we did consider taking torches, but thought we'd be ok and then suddenly it's getting dark, we've strayed off the beaten track, the paths are thick with mud, everywhere looks the same, there's no-one else around and then we heard a tinkling bell following us!!!

We didn't hang around and were relieved to finally arrive at the car park - The Blair Witch Project always springs to mind when we start to feel uneasy and creeped out. A reminder that perhaps we should stick to visiting woods earlier in the day!!!

Towan Beach on the Roseland.
This time of year is wonderful for quiet beach walks and our little pal loves it!
We saw a seal swimming close by, but were so busy watching that we were too late to take a photo!
We feel that this beach makes magic happen for us...it's the place where we dream up ideas and we often meet people who become instrumental in a decision.
Today was no exception and it just blows our minds!

Pet sitting again, this week we're back on the Roseland with our little chum and a lovely walk around St Anthony's Head...coast path, bird hide, lighthouse and warm winter sunshine.

A lovely stay in Boswinger, a 40 bed hostel to ourselves and a trip down to Hemmick.
Funny to think we lived here for 12 years, although still feels part of us.

Our journey from Dartmoor to Cornwall.
Tonight we are staying at YHA Boswinger - the hostel we used to live next to and worked in a few times. Very happy to know it has been saved from closing, but we are the only people staying in this very old building!
Nice to be back. 😊😊

The temperature dropped yesterday and we woke to a frosty morning. It doesn't seem to be getting any warmer, but it's been nice to have a bit of sunshine!
Our last night here tonight and we are going on a mission. Every evening just as it's going dark, we hear children's voices for a few minutes in the field. We can't think where they come from and as yet we've not seen them, but are determined to find out if they are real. We also have seen 2 separate dog walkers seemingly disappear in the same field, so it's quite a mystery!
Is spending time on a empty campsite getting to us? We'll let you know!
