When a horsefly interrupts your bodywork session 🙄 I never did get it…
Fly mask
There are so many daily handling tasks I’ve taught Ginger to do softly and calmly over the years to aid harmony in our partnership.
One of those is putting his head in place for the fly mask from any angle 😀
Simple things that make life easier.
I couldn’t resist 😂 I’ll be doing a write up of what we got up to with Calypso very soon. As much as we joke this can absolutely be her feeling toward ‘work’ so our focus was on making it fun and interesting for her! Sarah Yeates
Prepare to be proud! Julie and Lena riding completely solo today, including their first trot off the rope, looking like they’ve been doing it forever! The confidence these two have grown together has been absolutely magical to watch - there’s nothing more special than watching a partnership form right from the beginning, from early groundwork, problem solving, then through the backing process, that first sit on their back… all the way to this and beyond. The world is their oyster!
Look at Lena go! She and Julie had a few strides of trot last year but this was their first proper one 😄 Julie did a fantastic job of just being a passenger while I asked Lena to go and whoa, not an easy task on such a big, young horse who feels very wobbly at this stage! We were bursting with smiles 😄
Some of your driveways give me whiplash… 😆
Please let us have a summer this year 😭
Patience was thrilled to be able to start cantering today, there was no other sound suitable really 😂
Timmy’s latest ‘look what I can do’ - flying changes 😳😂 Far too clever for his own good this pony…
Anyone else being eaten alive? 🤦♀️ 🪰
Last time I saw Elena and Kizzy we were working on Elena’s confidence to ask her for canter. She was struggling with her position and trust in the partnership, in full tack I will add. So imagine the smile on my face when today she did THIS!! I am so proud I could burst! 🎉🎉
