We love to see your cats and admire how happy and content they look, that means we can't accept images where cats appear to be in any sort of distress
No beautiful cat should be seen fighting or showing signs of aggression, so you won't find it on this page either. Your cat’s stunning coat should be seen for what it is, not covered by clothes
We would hate to see any harm come to a cat, so we'd appreciate it if any images you share with us show cats in safe situations. We all know cats like to express their natural hunting instincts but we request that there are no dead prey hunting, or clear intent to hunt (interaction with prey) images posted to this page. Nothing is more important to us than keeping your special cat healthy, so we ask that responsible feeding is depicted including portion control and access to fresh water. Microbiome is already the buzz word of 2024, but what does it mean for cats?

As part of the digestive system, the gut microbiome is a dynamic ecosystem that contains a collection of microscopic microorganisms which live inside your cat’s body, along with their genes and metabolites. They can be bacteria, viruses, fungi, or protozoa and they play an essential role in the health of your cat.

We spoke to our Purina Vet, Dr Libby Sheridan, to kick off our Microbiome series and here’s what she had to share:

“We sometimes call the gut ‘the second brain’ because there are so many nerve cells along its length and a great number of biological messengers which constantly communicate between the gut and the brain - messages zoom up and down in a two-way conversation. This can have an impact not only on the health of the gut but also on a pet’s emotional state.”
