Next up on our series, we're introducing our Student Nurse, Ashley 👋🏼

Hi, I'm Ashley and I have just joined the Buttercross team this year as a Student Veterinary Nurse

My favourite things about the job are learning new things and caring for a variety of different animals (and personalities!). I absolutely love how different and special each and every one of them are and enjoy tailoring my care to their needs ❤️

Outside of work, my life is full of nursing school and revision, but when I can get a break, I like to travel around with my two big, furry, four-legged kids, Luci and Roman 🥰🐕🐕🥰

An interesting fact about me is that I once lived on a tropical island and was a scuba diving instructor and wildlife conservationist. I am incredibly fascinated by and fond of ALL animals, from scales to fur 🥰

I have a particular fondness for large breed dogs, especially shepherds and huskies, so if you have one at the practice, you will likely see me appear to fawn over them at some point 😍
Ashley is doing incredibly well with her coursework and we can't wait to see her flourish into a wonderful RVN💚

Mother and son duo, Luna and Tigger refused to stop snuggling during their appointment, so we just had to make do!

We always try to give our patients the best veterinary experience so if that means staying snuggled so be it🥹

Hello, my name is Bea 👋🏼

I have worked at Buttercross since April 2025

My favourite thing about being a Registered Veterinary Nurse is inpatient care, surgical nursing and diagnostics, I love caring for your pets and helping them feel better.❤️‍🩹

Outside of work I enjoy travelling, art and horror films.

An interesting fact is I have over 50 tattoos so far, one being a portrait of a hedgehog I took home and rehabilitated called Two Toe Toby!🦔

🌈 Unfortunately a member of the public has handed in a black and white domestic long haired cat that has been involved in an RTA near the industrial estate in Bingham. The cat does not have a microchip, is entire and only young approx 4-6 months old.
If you think this boy may belong to you please give the practice a call on 01949 748025.

Stanley belongs to our spaniel mad Nurse Becca. Stanley is only 5 months old, he comes to work with Becca most days and has adapted to life at the vets beautifully!👏🏼

Here he is pretending to be a very good patient, well done Stan-Man, we love you crazy boy🥰

As we continue with , we welcome our Nursing Team .. starting with Kayleigh🏇🏼

Hello, my name is Kayleigh, I have worked at Buttercross for just over a year after graduating from Harper Adams University in July 2024.🎓

I have a special interest in emergency and critical care. I started my nursing career at our Out Of Hours provider MiNightVets Nottingham working alongside my university studies for just shy of 4 years🩺.

Outside of work I enjoy exploring with my spaniels Riley, Woody and Flick🐶🐾 and retraining/competing my ex-racehorses Sass and Heidi🐴.

In 2018 while working in kennels I set up my own pet sitting business so pet owners could go on holiday with peace of mind their pets are happy and safe in the comfort of their own home🏡
Thank you Kayleigh, what a busy little bee you are!🐝

Today is another sad day across Buttercross as we wave goodbye to our wonderful Adam🥲
Adam has been with us for just nearly 2 years and what a lovely couple of years it's been!🥰

He leaves us to start a new (and very exciting) chapter at musculoskeletal referral practice, Nupsala MSK.🦴

We wish him the very best although we are all very saddened to see him go💔

A bittersweet day, as our ray of sunshine Sophie, temporarily leaves the team to embark on motherhood for the second time🤰🏼

Today is her last day with us for a while, until she's back next year.

We wish you all the very best Soph, and can't wait to meet your newest little lady🩷🍼

November has come around quickly, and so we welcome our newest ✨Star of the Patient Of The Month ✨Molly ✨

Molly is a lovely golden oldie who recently had a dental procedure to remove her last few remaining teeth! 🦷

Molly was suffering with severe dental disease (which is very common for small breed, senior dogs) so to make her more comfortable, the rest of her teeth all had to go.

And to make this even more impressive, Molly will be turning 18 years old in December!🎂

We are so proud of you Molly and very glad you'll be able to enjoy your birthday cake without any discomfort 🎉

Hello, my name is Irene and I have worked at Buttercross for almost 1 year now!

My favourite thing about being a Vet is helping our little (and not so little!) patients and their families enjoy their lives to the fullest

Outside of work I enjoy crafts and reading, but I also love trying new food and enjoying the sun when it is possible ☀️

An interesting fact about me is I trained in Spain but I have developed my professional career in the UK. It was quite a cultural shock when I first moved!
Swapping sunshine and sandy beaches for sweaters and scarves was a very brave move, but we are so thrilled to have you here with us💃🏼🥰
