So after quite a few customer request a while back we supplied some coops to various people and put them on this page (big mistake) 😂😂 we are now getting asked for them on a regular basis, we didnt supply to many last season as timber was in high demand and so expensive, 2024 should be differant fingers crossed, these 2 lovely coops pictured are both ready to find new post codes 🏠🏠

POULTRY STOCK UPDATE

Hybrid pullets will be available again from friday the 7th june, quite a lot allready spoken for so the remainder will be available from the above date

🔥POULTRY STOCK UPDATE🔥

So after going through some of this years stock we have pulled a few birds out that will be surplus to our breeding program, theses will look fantastic as pets in a garden flocks and will lay eggs of course, not currently in lay as they are still to young, we have some buff wyandotte bantam pullets available, also some males so we can make pairs or trio’s if needed, these are various ages from 16/17 weeks down to 9/10 weeks of age, we have some silver pencilled wyandotte large fowl available again same ages as above with the bantam’s, no males surplus with these at the moment so only pullets available

NOW !! BIG BIG OPPRTUNITY !! ONCE THESE HAVE GONE THEY HAVE GONE !!

We have some black wyandotte bantams available which are not related to anything from the uk !! these birds are 100% pure dutch !! In 2022 a good freind of ours from the netherlands sent us over some eggs which we was lucky enough to have all 12 hatch and we got 11 pullets and only 1 male !! Astonishing never been done before and we are never that lucky so most definately wont happen again 😂😂, anyway we bred those birds this time to give us these offspring that are going for sale ! If your looking for a very good start on the black wyandotte journey or wish to add something differant or new blood into your own current flock of these then you know what to do 📞 these are 10/12 weeks old and we do have a hand full that are slightly older, can make pairs or trio’s or even stock cockerals are available, do not miss these !! 🧨 BIG BIG CHANCE !! 🧨

This doesnt happen to often here at star bank especially with this breed so grab the chance whilst its available !! similar to our last post about the buff wyandotte bantams we have decided to let go some of our silver pencilled from last years hatch to make more room to bring on this years growers, we hatched a good amount this year therefore need some more space to bring them on ! aprox 12 months old and laying some nice sized eggs but they will start to molt quite soon so please bare this in mind ! They have been kept back from last year to breed from this year in 2023 for a reason so they do carry quality we look for, we would not normally let these go as each year they molt they improve and markings come more defined and peak at about 2 year old, these will be showable and have gb rings if u wished or can easily bo obtained as stunning garden birds to add to a current flock !! these have been bred from this year so you can see the healthy offspring they have produced and have here also, please dont expect them to look tip tip at this point as the cockeral does remove feathers doing there job mating !! there is feathers missing and currently dont look like they will in a few months after molt !! This happens this time of year every year, be patient with them and judge them after molt and we guarantee they will be stunning, we dont generally do this with this breed so grab a chance whilst its here !! we have shown these for numerous years at the national and federation shows (when they are on) and had excellent results and numerous best large prizes and best opposite size, these are some of the best of this breed in the country anybody who knows the breed will tell you !! 🧨 OPPORTUNITY 🧨

It is the time of year again where we need to start selling some of our stock to make room for this years hatchers !! we have 6 buff wyandotte bantams that we have made available for sale !! These are just 12 months old and was hatched here by us last year from our exhibition stock, these are what we selected and kept back last year for breeding purposes in 2023, they have been bred from this year and are still laying as we speak but are just starting to drop a few feathers and starting to molt, stunning birds and will look great in a garden set up or for somebody who wants to start out on a journey breeding this breed, ideally would like them to go together to clear the shed as we need the space to start seperating some of this years chicks for more info drop us a message or contact us on 07949167696 or 07584136600

💥💥 POULTRY UPDATE REGARDING COLUMBIAN WYANDOTTES 💥💥

There is only 4 large fowl columbian wyandottes left !!! 2 blue buff columbian, 1 buff columbian, 1 standard white columbian, once they are gone they are gone !! these are a rare breed in large fowl as you dont see many at all, lovely docile birds and will look fantastic in small garden flock 👌 dont miss out people !!

ANYBODY NEED ANY NEST BOXES ??

FREE TO ANYONE WHO CAN USE THEM !

MUST BE GONE BY TUESDAY EVENING NO LATER AND NO EXCEPTIONS MADE

These are hand made wooden nest boxes and pefect fo any size of birds, divide can be removed so they become one big nest box leave it in and have 2 sections, made propper and built to last we have had these years and still got plenty of life in them, the smaller nest boxes would be ideal for bantam hens with a lift up lid but these centre section do not remove in these they are fixed, just been stored in the shed for 12 months and no longer needed and just having a clear out, mite free and always creasoted, we can even supply the creasote to come with them if needed 👍

these are FREE of charge but need to be gone no later than tuesday otherwise they will be broken down and burnt

💥💥 FABULOUS OPPORTUNITY 💥💥

Right people we have often been asked on many of ocasions abouts these hens are they for sale etc etc, heres your chance !! These are columbian, blue columbian, buff columbian and blue buff columbian wyandottes large fowl, quite a rare breed in large fowl more often than not they are seen in the bantam size, these are hens only and no cockeral !! couple of years old and still look fantastic, if you want something to look stunning in your garden but do not want over running with eggs these are what you need !! They are big and typey and look fantastic, these are not prolific layers anyway but one of the most docile breeds we have had and certainly one of the best to look at, these are at a freinds alotment so would need to be viewed in rochdale and not at star bank, if you are more local to us than rochdale we can arrange to view here, only letting them go as we need to reduce the amount of hens we have as we are limited space hence the reason they are at our freinds 😂😂 open to sensible offers thank you

🔥 APRECIATION POST 🔥

Over the years we have met lots and lots of lovely people and seen lots of customers coming to see our poultry from all over the country, one thing we have never done is ask for reviews but seems as times are changing we want and need to push our page some more so can we ask anybody who as been to us for poultry or with poorly hens or just to see our set up and have a general chit chat please leave us a honnest review, good or bad as we want to learn still and improve going forward, every day is a school day is a well known saying we tell ourselves everyday and if we can have opinions and reviews to help us it also helps you, it would be a massively apreciated if every could drop a review at some point to help us reach our goal by the end of 2023 !! On the road to 2k followers, this doesnt sound a lot but for people doing it as a hobby it is !! 🔥🔥 PURE BREED UPDATE 🔥🔥

This year we debated if was going to bother hatching any chicks in 2023 due to cost of electricity and edging our bets that the national and federation show at the back end of this year will be cancelled due to the avian flu !! as majority of our followers know and anybody that as been to us for poultry over the years we breed all our pure breeds to show ! That is the hobby and main purpose behind what we do, when we sat down and thought about star bank with no chicks 🤔🤔 for the first time in well over a decade it just didnt sit well with us !! So ye you guessed it we started to hatch 😂😂 inevitable really !! so anybody wanting pure breeds they will be available throughout the year at various ages, the first hatch is now 3 weeks old and the next hatch is due in about a weeks time

How we work in terms of pure breeds, we only sell a handful of chicks as we like to raise them to a point were we can s*x them firstly and also identify if they carry any faults were they cannot be shown etc etc, just because it cannot be shown does not mean they are no good !! Its a common question asked why are you getting rid of them, heres the answer to keep it brief, they will lay eggs and look fantastic in your garden flock it could be something as simple as the colour is to dark or to light, leg colour is not strong enough etc something very simple that wont affect its life or laying cycle, we cant keep everything as we are limited space so we let some go, we go through them every 4 weeks ish and we can pull ones out for sale each time so when this happens they go on this page and generally dont last 24hrs !! They can be various ages and price is reflected

So now you know how we work in terms of the pure breeds keep your eyes on the page for any surplus stock coming available
