🐾 Lilly – misunderstood, magnificent, and still waiting 🐾
Lilly has been with us on and off since last September. She’s now one of our longest-staying cats, and although we see her potential every day, she's still waiting for the right person to see it too.
Lilly is just 3 years old, with striking black-and-white fur and the cutest little black nose. She’s bold, independent, and doesn’t pretend to be anything she’s not. She came into care after struggling in a busy family home left her feeling overwhelmed and defensive.
But that’s not the full story.
In the time she’s been with us, we’ve seen real progress. Her reactivity has eased, her confidence has grown, and we’ve seen glimmers of the sweet and curious cat she truly is. She’s under the loving eye of our Behaviour Team who will support her new adopter every step of the way - before, during and after homing.
Lilly needs a quiet, adult-only home, with no other pets, plenty of space to roam indoors and out, and - most importantly - people who will go at her pace, not theirs. She may well want outdoor access earlier than most, so a secure garden in a low-cat area would be ideal.
She may never be a lap cat and that’s okay. What Lilly needs is someone who’ll meet her where she is, give her the freedom to flourish, and love her for who she is, not who they want her to be.
