Thank you to Lynne, Louise, Jess, Georgia, Jade, Lia, Alex, Paige, and Ellie for everything you do, your hard work and love for animals does not go unnoticed. 🩷
You may never have seen behind the consultation room in a veterinary practice.
So take a look at the work our vets and nurses do on the front line every day to look after animals in veterinary practices, hospitals, in the field and on call - so that they receive the best possible care.
Thanks to Molly Case for the poem you have written about our profession.

Let's take a look under the microscope 🔬What did you think these creepy crawlies were at first glance? 👀
These are Ocodectes Cynotis, commonly known as ear mites. They are very tiny parasites that infest the ear canal and surrounding skin. Unfortunately most cats and dogs can be susceptible to them and they can cause intense ear irritation and discomfort, but they are easily treated! Signs to look out for would be, excessive head shaking, itching of ears, neck and head, sometimes the presence of an ear discharge that is waxy and dark, or an unpleasant odour coming from ears. 😵💫
If you ever have any concerns about your pets ears, or think ear mites may be a problem, please do not hesitate to contact us. 📧📞
Do you remembering seeing Bilbo on our page yesterday? This is the very satisfying video of one of our vets carefully removing the hard piece of straw that was lodged up his nose 🐽
Happy Monday! 🎉
We hope you have all had a lovely weekend with your pets! Here is Angus the Briard pretending he has a brain, we hope this video makes you laugh as much as we did 🧠🤣
With autumn approaching, we are still very much living in our favourite summer memories! This is Otto the cocker (not be confused with a swimming otter) having the best time. 😍🌞🍂🐾💦

Shadow came to visit us with swelling under his chin, our vet Rachel checked him over, and quite quickly came to the conclusion that we would need to sedate Shadow, and flush the swollen area. As you can see from our video, the swelling was being caused by a build up of pus, where an abscess had formed, we also found a multitude of tiny grass seeds which may have caused this.
Shadow is now on the mend, and what a good boy he was! 😍👏
This very gorgeous girl was feeling a little needy after her spay, and of course, patient care (and cuddles) is of highest priority! 😍🐱💖
It’s harvest mite season!
Harvest mites (Neotrombicula autumnalis) are little orange mites (see the comments for a photo of what they look like on your dog).
They are often found in grass and woodland areas and love to attach to your dogs feet where they feed from them!
They cause red skin little bumps and a lot of itching and inflammation.
Luckily they are fairly easy to treat!
So if you notice your dogs are really itchy around their feet and legs you can check between their toes for these little mites! Or bring them into us and we can have a look and prescribe treatment!
