Imanje Pet Services was in the pipeline long before it was made official in 2016. Avril began her journey into dog training firstly for the show ring, then gaining experience in puppy, reactive and tricks classes before registering Imanje Pet Services in 2016, along with her partner, David. We began with offering dog wal

king services before adding Avril’s training passions: Scentwork, Mantrailing and puppies! Both our training and walking have grown over the years and Avril is an accredited trainer who has competed and trained in her specialities for nearly a decade. She now teaches Mantrailing, Scentwork and Puppies (as well as walking both young dogs and those who require additional support and/or training) while David has a great gang of dogs who he cares for both in groups and as solo walks. While our Mantrailing is carried out across Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife. General training is also available to help you with those behaviours that you find difficult to live with. We are always updating our knowledge through workshops and courses and tweak our training courses accordingly. Our learning becomes your learning, and we pass this on to our walking clients too. Our ethics are reflected in the organisations Avril is a professional member of: Pet Professional Guild, ICAN and INTODogs and we walk and train with a solid ethic of “no force, no pain, no fear.”

We are fully qualified, insured and have custom built transport, to always ensure the safety of your dogs. Providing a safe environment, where your dog can learn, grow, and find enrichment is our priority.

⚠️ Warning ⚠️

We've been made aware of potential pollution in the burn running through Newhailes. This appears to be part of an ongoing issue and has come from further upstream - it has not originated from the estate.

We've reported the incident to SEPA, and they are sending an operative out to investigate.

In the meantime please keep an eye on your dogs and avoid contact with the water, we have no indication that the water is hazardous but advise caution.

We'll provide an update as soon as we know more. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

🐾 Dog Walking Spaces Available in Portobello & Gorebridge! 🐾

Looking for a safe, friendly, and enriching walk for your dog? We have a few spaces coming up due to movers and shakers in our small group dog walks in the Portobello and Gorebridge (and immediate areas)!

At Imanje Pet Services, your dog will join a well-matched group of sociable friends, enjoy plenty of physical and mental stimulation, and have fun in a positive, caring environment. We are insured, first aid trained, experienced (and trained in canine body language) and transport all our gang in custom build cages within our vans. Your dog's safety is paramount from the moment we collect them, to the moment we return them home.

To keep our walks stress-free and enjoyable, we ask that your dog:

• Gets on well with other dogs
• Has good recall – there may be availability for your dog to remain on lead if the group fit is right!
• Walks nicely on lead
