What a lovely day at the CT Qualifiers. Rebecca Tennent was out of the starting block first with Prelim 7. Unfortunately Oscar just didn’t feel right for Becca. After a quick run up before the jumping at 80cm he appeared good, but on practice jumping something again was not right. Becca quite rightly withdrew him. Well done Becca.
Next was our brave junior Natalie Beaton on Winnie. Dressage was Prelim 3, which impressed the judge. she is a cheeky little pony. Following on the show jumping at 80cm. And a clear round. Congratulations Natalie on coming 2nd in your class. Managed to miss the rain at the close of the event.

Here are the results from today’s very busy Showing Show at Plumpton College. Well done to everyone who took part, there were some lovely combinations on show! 1st-4th in all classes qualify for The Sunshine Tour Championships, you will need these results to register your qualification with them. Well done!

Wow what a wonderful day at our Showing Show today. Weather wise not the best but thanks to the wonderful entrants and lovely horses and ponies, it made up for the miserable start. Thank you to you all, hope you enjoyed the show as much as we all did.

Rudgwick RC are holding an Arena Eventing clinic at Hickstead on Sunday April 28th with Russell Cooper, the cost is £55, maximum 4 per group

They have the following spaces available if anyone would like to join:

9.00-10.00 90cm and above group - 2 spaces available
10.00-11.00 up to 80cm group - 1 space available

We had a great morning of Dressage training with Sarah Sjoholm Patience. Lots of great discussions, ideas and homework.
Sarah will be back at Alderlake on 3rd March & 17th March. Training is subsidised for WERC members

🚨2024 Body Protector Update🚨

A body protector is mandatory in all cross-country competitions/training (where fixed fences are used).
A BETA Level 3 displaying a Blue 2018 Label must be worn where a body protector is mandatory. From 1 Jan 2024, the BETA 2009 Purple Label will no longer be accepted. The ONLY exception to this requirement is that the Exo Body Cages will continue to be accepted, provided they have a BETA Level 3 Purple 2000 Label.
If a rider chooses to wear an airbag style body protector for cross-country it must be worn over a BETA Level 3 2018 Blue Label body protector. Hybrid Air-jackets and air jackets incorporated into a blouson style jacket are permitted.
Where body protectors are not mandatory i.e. dressage/show jumping the rider may wear any level/standard body protector.
