🎉 Today marks exactly 2 years to the day that I saw my first patient as a qualified veterinary physiotherapist. 🎉 I can’t believe where the time has gone! I want to say a huge thank you to anybody that has supported me during this time. We also have some new things in the pipeline so watch this space 👀
A couple of weeks ago my gran’s nearly 21 year old cat passed away. Obviously we miss her dearly, but with her current health it was the right time for her. It is never an easy decision, but here are some tips that may help you decide if the time is right.
🐴 Are they eating and drinking normally?
🐶 Are they struggling to clean themselves?
🐱 Are they aware when they need to use the toilet and have control when they do it?
🐰 Are their comfort levels being managed effectively?
🐮 Are they struggling to move around?
🐷 Have you noticed a change to their normal behaviour?
🐹 Are they having more bad days than good days, writing a diary can be really helpful with this?

What actually is physiotherapy and how does it work? It’s not actually some kind of witchcraft 🧙♀️ it uses a range of different techniques to maintain and restore a patient’s mobility, function, and well-being. Physiotherapists have been trained and assessed to be able to read scientific papers to understand how treatments work and provide a safe and effective treatment plan. To find out more about the treatments I offer and how they work, please feel free to visit my website or contact me directly.

Happy Christmas 🎅🏻 I hope you and all your animals have a lovely day! Are any of your animals getting dressed up for the big day? If so we’d love to see them, please feel free to post them in the comments.
Love getting owner updates. This sweetie isn’t even 3 weeks post a femoral head and neck incision (FHNE) and as you can see is doing super well with her slow lead walking exercises!
Has your dog had a recent surgery and you are struggling to know how much exercise to do and when? Please feel to drop me a message, as physiotherapist I can help you to create a tailor made safe plan for you and your dog.
