🎉 Happy New Year I hope everyone had a lovely time 🎉 I just wanted to send a message regarding the potentially snow forecast scheduled through out the week. At present I plan to carry out appointments as normal, however I will be reviewing this regularly. If the weather does take a turn for the worst and I cannot safely perform appointments, I will contact people affected directly by phone or text at the soonest opportunity. To confirm if you don’t hear from me regarding your appointment, it will be going ahead as normal. If you have any questions regarding anything please feel free to get in touch.

I’ve just finished my final clinic of 2024 and I wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone that has supported me over the last 12 months. I will be out of office from now until 2nd January, but will be resuming normal working hours from 6th January. I will still be replying to messages during this time, however there may be a delay in responding. I hope you and your animals all have a lovely Christmas and I look forward to seeing you all in the new year! 🎄

⛔️ Road Safety Awareness Week 17th-23rd Nov ⛔️ Now the nights have officially drawn in, I wanted to talk hi vis and what affect they may have. Have you ever considered how visible you may be out and about, whether that’s walking the dog, horse riding or just being outside?

Reasons to use/wear hi vis
🦺 You stand out better to emergency services, therefore being able to get to you quicker possibly leading to quicker treatment
🦺 Being more obvious to other road users
🦺 If your dog escapes and hides, hi vis can help to make them easier to locate particularly in the undergrowth
🦺 Gives other people/road users a better chance to spot you sooner and giving them more time to react to a situation
🦺 Coat versions can be useful in the colder weather to help keep you and your animal warm
🦺 Advised by the Highway Code

I received this lovely thank you card from my private physio client, who also attended hydro with me at Bluewaters Canine Centre - Hydrotherapy and Physiotherapy. I love incorporating both hydro and physio into my treatment plans. Do you know about the different forms or hydrotherapy?

I received this lovely client update just a few hours after his treatment. This is why I am so passionate about the combination of complementary therapies with other medical care.

Tomorrow (7th March) and Friday (8th March) I will be out of office to catch up on CPD and attend Crufts, so there may be in delay in responding to messages/calls. As always, anything urgent please feel free to get in contact and I will do my best to respond, as quickly as possible. Is anyone else attending/watching crufts this year? I’ll be wearing my uniform, so if you see me please feel free to say hi!

A couple of weeks ago my gran’s nearly 21 year old cat passed away. Obviously we miss her dearly, but with her current health it was the right time for her. It is never an easy decision, but here are some tips that may help you decide if the time is right.
🐴 Are they eating and drinking normally?
🐶 Are they struggling to clean themselves?
🐱 Are they aware when they need to use the toilet and have control when they do it?
🐰 Are their comfort levels being managed effectively?
🐮 Are they struggling to move around?
🐷 Have you noticed a change to their normal behaviour?
🐹 Are they having more bad days than good days, writing a diary can be really helpful with this?

Just to let people know, that I am going to the theatre with my mum tomorrow (15th Feb), so I will be out of office the majority of the day and evening. Obviously I won’t be able to take any calls during that time, but anything urgent please drop me a message/text/WhatsApp/email and I will try and get back to you as soon as possible!

What actually is physiotherapy and how does it work? It’s not actually some kind of witchcraft 🧙‍♀️ it uses a range of different techniques to maintain and restore a patient’s mobility, function, and well-being. Physiotherapists have been trained and assessed to be able to read scientific papers to understand how treatments work and provide a safe and effective treatment plan. To find out more about the treatments I offer and how they work, please feel free to visit my website or contact me directly.

Chase had his first session with me this week and this was him at the end. He was asleep on the vet bed but unfortunately went camera shy when I went to take a photo. He did so well, particularly as he gets anxious and struggles with new people, due to his previous life! We made sure to give him plenty of breaks, but he quickly came back for some more attention. Excuse the hairy trousers, they were clean on I promise!
