As you can see this pond needed quite a bit of work done. The liner had some large holes so a new rubber liner was fitted. The levels around the edges were majorly off so we had to lower one side of the pond by around 6/8 inches. All the rock and slabs are the original edging and we managed to have just enough to go all the way around. We also added some lights to really show it off.

It's not always easy to make a preformed pond look natural but I believed we achieved what we set out to do with this lovely pond. As you can see the pond needed to be reset a couple of inches into the ground as it was sitting proud. Unfortunately the pond was also misshapen so would never be perfectly level but we disguised that pretty well. The are around the pond got extremely boggy as the water would spill over when it rained. The owner would go out regularly with a bucket to empty some so that didn't happen. It now has a over flow installed so this won't happen again. A new OASE UK filtral was also installed to filter the pond and also drive the waterfall. It's now a perf CT small goldfish pond and blends nicely into the garden.

A pond that desperately needed some tlc. Just in time before these frogs and newts start releasing spawn. This frog pair may very well have been in amplexus since before the cold snap and as soon as temps rise they will continue their breeding. Now that the pond has been cleaned the tadpoles and spawn will have a much higher survival rate. If the spawn is exsposed and we have another cold snap this will most definitely impact the survival of them the spawn. Also may animals will be able to walk across such shallow water and eat the spawn. The tadpoles can now retreat to deeper parts of the pond and away from terrestrial predators rather than trying to escape in just a few inches of water.

This yellow belly dog face Puffer had a very sunken stomach when it was purchased. The owner has done a fantastic job feeding it and now it's in much better shape. All water parameters are fantastic so just the right amount of food has been fed to fatten it up without jeopardizing the water quality.

9 spined and 3 spined Stickleback fish. These two native species are fantastic for medium-large wildlife ponds. They have very similar requirements and will mix well in most ponds streams etc. the 9 spine will spend a lot of time in reeds and will make nests for fry there also. 3 spine are very similar but are far more willing to swim in open water. They also build nests in the substrate meaning during breeding season they will for most of the part stay away from each other. Just remember that even these little delights will eat a lot of inverts, spawn and tadpoles in any pond and numbers should be kept low. 3 pine 5-10cm, 9 spine around 8cm.

Small wildlife pond that was in desperate need of a revamp. Only life found in the pond was a clump of spawn (half unferitized) and one frog as you can see from the images there was a thick mat of roots and plants which left only around and inch or two of water to the surface. This made most aquatic life easy targets for birds, hedgehog, cat, rats etc. Now this pond will become full of life once again.

Wildlife pond clean. Taking extra care to make sure all wildlife is handled carefully and put back safely. Wildlife is one of our biggest passions and regardless of how long it takes we try our absolute best to make sure it's treated with the up most respect and cared for.

Nice red sea re**er 900 installation. With 20mm glass it was an extremely heavy aquarium. The central wier was also glass rather than the traditional perspex. Very impressed with pipe work,sump and over all design. Plenty of space for access too. Look forward to seeing this aquascaped by the client and his young daughter. Thank you Damian for letting us in on the start of this great project.

Here is a set up you don't see everyday. Planted marine aquarium on which I do routine maintenance on. It really is thriving and has a variety of inhabitants. It does need trimming a couple of times a month as the caulerpa does extremely well in the home aquarium and if not controlled will take over. The fish seem to use this jungle of caulerpa to Their advantage diving in and out of the small green covered cave.

Nice little pond clean. Believe it or not this pond had around 300 fish. Around 30 were popped back in and the rest rehomed.

This small pond was getting strangled by varegated flag iris. Around 20 years of iris and sludge removed and it now looks so much better.

Busy day today. Emptying a pond relocating the fish to the lake, adding a JBLaquarium e500 inline heater to a Fluval shaker 345 and finally a filter clean and water test in this lovely little AquaOak marine set up.

Full clean on this 2 tier pond. Always a pleasure cleaning this pond and the frogs in this area have the most fascinating markings.

It's always surprising how much will build up at the bottom of a pond. With all.the stones and sludge removed from the bottom the fish have more room to swim around in this lovely pond. We also managed to collect 12 goldfish fry ranging between one and one and a half inches. They were then reintroduced to the pond a few minutes before the adults so they could find suitable hiding spaces.
