Christmas is always my busiest time of year and I hope all my customer's past and present had a wonderful day.

I'm now off until the new year. I'll be spending this time trying to nurse my poorly little man back to health.

I appreciate all of your understanding where I've had to cancel last minute bookings or delay my timing's

Being a working mum can be very tricky but you all make this possible for me and I'm truly grateful 🥰

So I'm sure we've all seen plenty of posts about just recently about dog's 🐕 being walked in the heat.

I wanted to direct you to the Royal Veterinary College for some helpful information on the signs of heat stroke in dogs and the effective treatment methods.

All dog's this week have either been walked before temperatures 🌡 got too hot or with plenty of cloud cover ☁️

The weather this week is off rhe scale hot 🔥 🌡

I will be doing in house visits and garden let outs instead of walks.

It's 9am and already 24° 🥵

SUCCESS!...

For the last 3 weeks now I've been driving Ralph over to the local fields for his weekly walk

The change in his behaviour has been incredible, he now enjoys his walk and we get the chance to play ball 🥰

His tail now wags with excitement 😍

Yesterday was wear red day for CHD, we totally missed it as this is our first year of knowing about it 🙈

The affects it has on families is just devastating, we've had such a roller coaster of a ride these past 10 month's. Our world has been completely turned upside down.. but we've come out the other side and despite everything, Logan is still smiling.

Logan had his first heart op on the 26th May 2023. He had a stent put in through his groin to help open up a very narrow pulmonary artery which enabled him to get off the oxygen and back into air again.

On 26th September 2023, Logan had his second heart operation. This was his biggest operation. It involved putting him on bypass, stopping his heart and opening up his chest. He was just 6 months old, but still a little fighter.

He had to be intubated for a longer period than other's because he struggled so much. I can't even begin to tell you how utterly heartbreaking 💔 it is to sit by your child's bedside day after day, longing to just pick them up and cuddle them, to feed them. As a mum, all you want to do is make them feel better.

Logan had to have his heart paced after surgery, to help it maintain a normal rhythm; he developed chylothorax which meant he needed a drain putting in his chest to take out all the fatty fluid that had collected around his chest cavity; a collapsed lung 🫁; and a kidney infection.

These were such dark days and still we had our darling Alfie back home to think of. So please, support us for the whole of February as it was not only wear red day yesterday but this month alone is CHD Awareness Month ❤️

What a very busy Christmas period we've had..

Finished all my dog walks just before Christmas so I can focus my attention on looking after these beauties 😍
