Happy Hounds - Dog training in Newton Abbot. We offer group sessions as well as one to ones.

We cover puppy foundation through to the KCGC Gold award, as well as Rally Obedience, Scentwork, Tracking and reactive dog training.

Dogs must be sociable and able to work amongst other dogs in an indoor environment.

Merry Christmas to everyone 🎁
Just to let you know, there's a new therapy dog course, called "Family Dog - Foundation Course for Assistance Dogs". This is for dogs to work with you as an individual, not like the other course where the dog is working alongside other individuals. The course also prepares fully for the TDT UK- Public Access Assessment which can be completed and then assessed by myself (A Trusted Trainer).

Puppies 🤩 so much progress from all of you, beautiful lead walking in our games this evening, with distracted recalls, quick positions, some brilliant stays! As well as learning some tricks and progressing with the "leave", some even managing to recall past the food! ⭐😃

Our lovely Rally'O group, all progressing so much from week 1, albeit brain frazzled at times!. All finishing off with a full course and we also did some of the jumping exercises 🥰⭐

Advanced scent work group have all been amazing this term! We ended off with some outdoor searches on the walls, as well as a van search. Then we did a "pant run" 😂 which was a new set up for the dogs. Then we went back outside and had a first go at water searches! Thought they'd find this hard but all three did brilliantly ⭐ we then finished off with an indoor hide, which including some distracting hidden sausages 😂

The advanced scentwork group yesterday 🤩 practiced some "under" searches where they had to get right under the tables, searching for clove, gun oil and truffle! We also managed to get to the pie tin run and had successful indications from both dogs ⭐
