Sorry we have been quiet for the last few weeks, we have been facing a few changes on our personal paths. Some of them are exciting & some not so much. Thank you all for your continued support, the future maybe bumpy but I know with all your love we will get through it. Happy new year ❣️

This is Bella, who was a member of our family for the last 16 years, my son & her grew up together. She was feisty, hated most other dogs in her space. She loved to run, far far away from us. She would climb out windows, scale fences & open doors so she could find her next adventure. She's shut down rugby matches, entered schools, been to the local supermarket, returned by police, entered people's beds at night, left for ten days, followed runners home & stayed for afternoon tea with them. She was most happy out exploring & meeting others, she tested us, brought tears but also made me laugh & feel love. She would always sneak out to come find me at work, just opening the pub door & wondering in.

Christmas eve her time came for her body to fail & for her to leave for her biggest adventure yet. She walked for hours & played fetch as normal, ate her tea & then quickly left us.

Thank you Bella, for teaching me never to give up, giving us a good story to share & for being a constant in my life ❤️ sleep well my little friend.

Apologies for being quiet this Christmas, this little lady owned a big piece of me.

Does anyone local to us have a stair gate for sale? I've tried lots on facebook market place with no response. The Labrador is settling well but a stair gate would help him to settle ❤️ message us and we can come collect. Thank you

This little munchkin needed a soft landing after a break up meant that he could no longer get what he needs. At 14 weeks old it's really important that we got him in a home setting so he can get all the love and attention he needs.

He is in a lovely foster home (which we are all secretly hoping fails) with an older lab who is showing him the ropes. Fingers crossed he will already have found his happy ending.

Emergency intake, we were told mum has been killed & they were needed to be gone now. We have 3 little boys & a girly. Vet checked & settled now ❤️

Dojo Dungeon has lost its fight with the storm. The named. Shed contains the rescues most aggressive birds but all 5 boys are completely safe. They are however not happy that we need to get them to safety so once dark & they are calmer we will gather them up and stable them for the evening.

So far every thing else is standing up to the battering & the animals are happy. Sending love to who is in not such a good position 😭

Storm ready ⛈️🌀🌩️

We are as ready as we can be for this weekend, our amazing volunteers rallied round & made the place as wind safe as it can be. Every one has deep beds & extra food. We will be here all weekend making sure all the animals are not the wiser to the mayhem around them like Zelda & Rocco ❤️.

Please give our friends at some love, they are directly in the face of the storm with red warnings. They have faced the brutal rains already & now another storm.

Our Zelda's 3rd birthday today & we have officially adopted her little brother!

Zelda has been the best dog with teaching lost souls how to be whilst we find them homes. She's calm, playful & correcting with them but when Piglet joined us the bond was instant. They are inseparable, he wants to be in & around her at all times, she is his ears & we can't deny that they are soul mates any longer.

Thank you for trusting us with our special lad. We have also started using the name Rocco, any one guess the reference?

So this company has sold us a shed but never delivered it to us so we are down £800 😭 we are heading to trading standards but in the mean time if any one can recommend a trustworthy shed builder/company please reach out.

Every one is hunkering down today, the storm is doing its thing & everyone is warm & cosy avoiding its chaos. The worse of the wind has passed with everything in tact.

We love our cockrels, we have so many here. Some live in all.boy groups, others in mixed flocks and some just free roam. We try to allow them to be as free as we can.

Did you know we received at least one call a day regarding cockrels and are dumped often when homes can't be found, they are bred for fun & discarded because hatching is not thought through. They are a huge asset to any flock but love to crow so unsuitable for all homes.

We will always help if we can & it's thank you to your kind support which enables us to help so many ❤️

It's time to start thinking about those Christmas wishes! Corsham's Wishing Tree will be open for business from 10am-1pm on 30 November in the Chapel Garden this year (between Co-op and Grounded) due to the building works on the High Street. Wishes are free, but donations for Coppershell Animal Rescue and Corsham Skatepark Committee Public Group will be gratefully received. We'll have music from Corsham and Colerne Military Wives Choir at 10am and 11am too.

Sorry that we have been a little quiet on the socials, I will admit that the council pressure has really got worried & trying to juggle life is become harder than it normally is.

No one takes a wage from coppershell, we work full time to support ourselves & the charity. I run the rescue from my home, the charity pays nothing to be here and I genuinely set up the place to bring together a community & help save lives. With around 100 volunteers and 1000's of animals saved I really felt like we were adding value to this crazy world.

I promise to up our social content as I know it brightens up your day seeing our lovely residents on your feeds & not let the red tape stop what we do best. Thank you to our online family for always being there ❤️
