I hope you are all staying safe and well through the Coronavirus pandemic. It is truly heart breaking listening to the news each day.
I, like the majority of groomers am still closed and following the advice issued by the Government to help protect us all. The 3 week Government review is due this week but it seems unlikely that the partial lockdown will be lifted.
I will therefore be cancelling those booked in for the week commencing 13th April, and will make a further announcement following the Government statement on Thursday.
I realise that some of you are now over due appts maybe by 3 wks at this time. I can only say that since the situation is not likely to change in the next few weeks you must do what needs to be done however you can. If thats keeping your dog mat free then that will be excellent, it will keep the airflow circulating and keep your dog cool (the coat is designed to do this) and if you are on regular repeat appts booked for the year you will slip back in on one of those, if not then I will prioritise the wool and double coated breeds over the rest and be fitting you in whilst working extra hours (on return). Those who fancy a go with the clippers, or have hairdressers in your immediate families, then if you feel you fancy a go then just be careful, nicks can happen if there are matts or skin not kept tight and watch the blade is not super short or clipper burn is a risk too. Just watch eyes, ears,"armpits", muzzles and ge****ls too, leave those bits if you are worried. Most will find a 6mm or 10mm (thats a number 2 and 3 for hairdressers) will do just fine and at the end of the day if its shorter that you normally like, its fine for the lockdown and grows back quickly so don't worry, your dogs not bothered what they look like....ever!
Anyone wanting more specific advice just get in touch via phone, text, whatsapp, email or facebook and I'll try to help.
