When you enquire and ask for a quote from a reputable pet transport company please remember you are paying for a service, a reliable professional service that prides itself on safety and pet welfare first and foremost ,just lately I often hear people saying “ that’s expensive I can drive it myself for a tank of fuel or but it’s only a few hours drive “
And yes very often you probably could drive a trip for a tank of fuel

However most people who book pet transport is because for a variety of reasons cannot do the trip themselves it could be to do with anything
Perhaps the person cannot drive or doesn’t like driving long distance or they cannot be away from home too long and that’s where we as industry professionals come into help

Setting up a good business with speciallly adapted / built vans that have all the legally and correct set ups along with licences insurance for both pets and vehicles all costs money and it’s a never ending cost to keep vehicles in tip top condition the more miles we do the servicing intervals come around quicker the Tyres need changing sooner to do this job properly you simply cannot cut corners

Some trips often require an overnight stop at pet friendly hotels so we are not driving over our legal driving hours ( I personally support and would like to see the introduction of all small vans being on a Tacho with compulsory journey logs so they come into line with the freight industry to stop people who think it’s acceptable to drive solid for 18 - 20 hours !

When you decide to take a train bus or taxi you don’t call up GWR and tell them the tickets are to pricey and you could drive it for less ,you have decided to pay for a service , ok so at least with pet transport you won’t have the worry of us going on strike or abandoning your pet mid journey

When we quote we have to factor in not just that tank of fuel but wear and tear ,time on the trip , some trips would mean we cannot take on anything else that day. We then need to factor in our own business liabilities
And after all of that try and make a small profit and believe me contrary to what some may think it really is “ small”
Prices all depend on if it’s a small shared trip or dedicated service
Ask yourself do you really want your pets driven half way around the globe with 15 others on board ? It’s well known that in the case of puppies that first ever trip could ruin them for along time I know people with show & working dogs who have arrived after a dreadful experience and now the pups won’t travel. Also as any good dog person knows all breeds need different handling they often have different requirements ,handling a tiny Pomeranian or toy poodle is a lot different to handling a big strapping mastiff or a working Gundog

If I personally cannot accommodate a breed or type I always recommend other industry professionals who I know will offer the same high standards
Just like on European jobs I don’t cover every country so I openly put someone else’s name forward. Away from all this please remember your paying for a trusted professional to do a good job and that costs
Very often cheap quotes are cheap for a reason and there is that old saying pay cheap pay twice ,not to mention the large number of scammers who seem to be on the look out now or the have a go guys who buy a white van and offer any service from a tip run to a full house removal but on a quiet day will chuck a few pets on board ! Sorry but that’s not the way it’s a done

I keep my prices as competitive as possible but when you live in Devon we are not central so when you wish to move your pets or new puppies / kittens from right down in Cornwall to the top of Inverness it’s not a £100 job
And you certainly won’t do it on just the tankful

So please when you enquire for a quote whether it be from ourselves or another good company just have a think about everything I have touched on
Don’t be afraid to be up front and ask if a trip can be joined in with another but equally don’t ask for a dedicated trip with just your pet but expect the shared price and another thing I’d like to make clear is just because you want to add another pet on the same trip does not mean it travels for free
Very often if they can go in the same cage then that’s no issue but if it’s taking up an extra cage it’s an extra cost

A trip to Paris to collect this lovely girl called Bean
To re-unite with her lovely owner who had rescued her a long time ago. She had to plan getting her back to the U.K. with the help of a Moroccan animal charity
I had the pleasure of meeting her off her flight and taking her back to Newquay Cornwall with a hotel stop the night before so she could have a rest
She is an amazing dog very chilled out & laid back

I’d like to thank everyone who helped make this possible and to Zoe for entrusting me to get her back safely. Thankyou for the lovely gift & card it’s very much appreciated

A busy few days

When people think pet transport they often assume all we do is move around puppies & kittens
That’s so far from reality
Meet this elderly lady Dottie
A 14 year old papillon who due to elderly owners illness she needed to be rehomed
Luckily the breed like all breeds has a breed & welfare co- ordinateur ( Mel) who found her a lovely new home
So I collected her from her foster home in Bognor Regis and delivered her to a very excited new owner in Leeds
I can report she has settled in amazingly well where she will spend the rest of her days




So if you have a golden oldie who requires a luxury Ride on OAP rates ( no bus pass required)

Back home from a trip to Denmark to collect this stunning boy
For all this of you asking “ Danny” is a Korat which I believe are one of the oldest domestic cat breeds
He was very vocal but extremely sweet
He wasn’t phased by his long trip over 1000 miles drive to get him to the U.K.
in two days it was 1750 miles for myself
Thankyou to his owners for entrusting myself with bringing him over

⭐️Back from a very busy weekend ⭐️
Just look at some of my VIPs I had on board ( very important pets)
2 stunning 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿Cardigan Corgi pups upto London & then Clacton on sea to meet there very excited new owners. It’s always nice to see a rare breed & these were superb quality bred from some of the finest bloodlines. nice little stop overnight then onto Wales the following day to deliver a kitten
Stop off in Brecon Beacons one of my favourite places I never get tired of driving through the spectacular scenery , one day I plan to walk up Pen y fan 🗻
Monday morning collection of the biggest stud Maine c**n cat I have seen off to his new 🏠home in Bolton . Then it was across to Lincoln to collect Bob the working Patterdale Terrier a breed that I started with some 32 years ago ( yes I know I don’t look that old 😂) then another little dog to collect en route and back to Devon
Phew that was a weekend & I had 🌞

When your looking for a new puppy or kitten finding the right breeder is so important
Sadly we still hear horror stories of people buying sick & sorry pups & kittens or ending up with a dog that looks nothing like the breed you set out to buy
If your ever unsure of a breeder or your worried it’s a scam I’m always happy to assist
Also when I collect a new puppy or kitten I scan the microchip or the breeder does & cross check with all paperwork to make sure it’s the correct animal
No microchip then it’s not going on the van unless a vet letter accompanies it explaining why
I check all registration paper work ( if applicable ) vaccination card etc
If I have any doubts about the puppy or kitten then I will contact you immediately

We always recommend a new puppy or kitten should be travelled on its own as most haven’t received there 2nd vaccination
The only exception to this is if 2 animals are coming from the same home or litter .

Lastnight was a late evening collection & delivery after being part of moving 4 dogs who flew ✈️in from Cyprus to go to there new homes 🏠
It was a smooth operation thanks to the teams both in Cyprus & Animal air care ( AIA) Gatwick
My lovely Doberman girl I was asked to move was the best most chilled out dog you wouldn’t have thought she had endured a long flight & then a 4 hour drive upto Lincolnshire
She greeted her new adopter like an old friend
With thanks to all the team that were involved in the move of these lovely dogs

48 hours of madness

I have encountered Sleet snow torrential rain severe floods roads partly washed away Gale force winds and add into the mix it’s Easter so the big family getaway , the roads have been carnage with the happy campers coming out to play

But all my travellers were warm safe happy & all collected & delivered on time

I saw some amazing views on my travels especially in Llanberis Gwynedd
Who would think we are meant to be in spring!

My trip to France wasn’t an easy one
The French farmers protesting along all major motorways
But on the upside it was nice to see little villages and places I haven’t normally seen
& just to be clear I fully support the French Farmers in what they are protesting about

I stopped over in a lovely tiny village called Perpezac-le-Blanc my host Iris & her little dog fleur were amazing with home cooked food & wine

An early start back to U.K. with yet more diversions I collected the beautiful Bengal kitten
From Virginie @ Hypnotic bengal . I believe this to be her first kitten to come to the U.K. to a very passionate new breeder who is setting out to do everything properly with the help of some fantastic mentors

The trip was a curtailed first time due to a blip on correct paperwork but we got there in the end

Paris Border tolls your diverted through Maux and lots of other minor roads
All motorways / autoroutes down towards Claremont Ferrand & Limoges are blockaded & one or two have fires
It’s put 3 hours on my journey
The protests are still on going tomorrow with further planned disruption

Polite Notice

As we are now well into the new year of 2024 and already coming to the end of January I am in the process of updating & tweaking lots of aspects of the business, new logo , new branding and updating my Ts & Cs
So I just wanted to mention a few things going forward

Any enquiries for pet transport that are received after 7pm these will not be dealt with until the following day. If your job is urgent then please send a text message to my phone marking it “ URGENT”

Quotes will now only be supplied once you have provided both collection and delivery postcodes with an approximate date you require the job to be done. Simply asking for a price from Cornwall to Scotland or Manchester to France just won’t get a response. we offer both a dedicated 1-1 service with just your pet/s on board or a small shared service where we only carry a maximum of 5 at anytime , I do not operate a multi drop bus load of animals where your pet is driven half way around the globe to reach its destination . All quotes supplied will be priced on a 1-1 unless we already have a booked and confirmed job that we can tie in with you.
Please understand a shared job dosent mean your price is half price just like 2 dogs or cats from the same home cannot always be guaranteed no extra charge .

All jobs are only booked once we have received the required holding deposit
Normally 25% however for all European jobs the cost of channel crossings or flights are the deposit amount. You will receive a full booking confirmation by email with my Terms of business. Our cancellation policy is as follows,
Any job booked and cancelled within 48 hours the full amount will be payable.
cancellations 7 days prior to your trip you will receive a refund of your holding fee. For all European Jobs once channel crossings have been paid for we are often unable to ammend. The balance of payment on all jobs is due on the day of the delivery or collection from whoever booked the trip .
We will now be implementing a POD where collections and deliveries will be signed for.

For all imports and exports please follow the rules regarding pet movements
All the relevant details can be found on .GOV. Pets arriving into the U.K. with pet passport can only do so if the owner is travelling 5 days either side .
If you have purchased a puppy or kitten or there is a transfer of ownership including rescue animals this is classed as a commercial movement and the person selling or breeder will need to apply for an Export health certificate in the country of departure, this needs to be an official vet on the defra list for U.K. or a state vet in Europe. In addition an Import notification must be raised ( iPaff/ CHED) and you will need to have a U.K. customs agent to raise customs docs as import tax is payable. We can help and advise and put you in touch with an agent but the responsibility lies with you to get the correct documents.

My price quoted is non negotiable,I do not offer “ cheap “ transport I run a very high standard professional service I cover thousands of miles monthly often weekly. I do not offer a man & van service where your pet is fitted on between a tip run or a furniture removal. Sadly we see plenty of have a go guys who buy a white van and think chucking a few pets on board to make a bit extra is the way to go! I will not be told how much you think the job should cost as believe me just recently I have been told “ it’s only a tank or 2 of fuel.
I have wear & tear plus insurance both for the van & pets in transit and other associated business costs. Just be aware those offering cheap as chips transport are most likely operating illegally or living in hope they can fill a vehicle by the date required, often this ends up in let down customers

For any jobs that involve cargo flights I will now redirect you to our preferred trusted Cargo agent ( AIA Pets ) this means you can deal directly with them but I’m always happy to do the ground transport and work with you and them.

For all jobs that take me over 11 hours driving I book into pet friendly budget accommodation. This is because not only it is illegal to drive over these hours it’s putting both your pet and other road users at risk. Pets are never left on the van overnight or unattended.

All prices includes upto half hour ( 30 minutes ) waiting time after this anytime I’m kept waiting will be billed at £45.00 per hour very often lately I have arrived at a job only to find cats and dogs not ready or having to help round up cats, and whilst I’m doing this I’m delaying my other clients or other animals on the van are being made to wait longer than necessary. please make sure all documents accompanying an animal ( vet cards & breed paperwork is put into a clear folder or wallet with names of animals , any vet prescribed medicines must be in clearly identifiable containers / bottles and put into a clear leak proof bag. Please always make me aware before I arrive if I am carrying items like beds, blankets, crates, cat scratch poles as often I have got to a job where the pet is travelling with more wardrobe than Madonna on tour.

At collection all animals will be scanned for microchip details, this is to avoid many scenarios, firstly to make sure we are not collecting a stolen pet.
Secondly it’s law that all puppies by 8 weeks old must be microchipped to the breeder. From June 2024 it will be compulsory for cats & kittens to be microchipped. If your pet is not chipped it will not travel unless you have a letter from a duly authorised vet stating the reason.

If you are providing your own cat carriers please ensure they are big enough that the cat/ kitten can stand up turn around and lie down comfortably
For all dogs that will be taken out for a comfort break please supply a correctly fitted collar or harness and lead. I do always carry my own on board as well.

I apologise if anyone takes offence at this post but but for all of you that know me ,know that I’m always very honest on here, however I have to be real too & sometimes it’s not all smiles and happiness in this business. Some days suck and you often wonder why your doing it!

The simple answer is for you and your pets as well as for myself and my partner. As you can appreciate I’m a self employed person I fund this business by myself I started it from scratch with no help or big loans or overdrafts just myself and one van. I have bills and overheads and I’m not a pushover. I will go out of way to help people but sometimes people try & take advantage.

I have built up an amazing clientele with many repeat customers , I work with some amazing people in rescue along with some top cat & dog breeders along with protection & drug dogs and top class show animals. I can transport all breeds from little to large but my speciality is toy and small breeds.

If I cannot do a job or it’s not practical for me to do it I am always very happy to pass you onto other trusted transport companies that I trust. Most I have worked with or they have done jobs for myself. I have contacts across the U.K. and in Spain and Holland all of who I would recommend .we are all small businesses that support each other

Lastly but not least as from now I will not be posting my up & coming trips for the foreseeable future
This is mostly because a quick look at some of my followers on here threw up some oddballs. As a lone female driver it’s in my own interest to protect my safety along with the welfare of the animals in my care. Pictures from jobs with clients pets will only be posted with permission and names will not be put on unless I am asked to do so. Any up and coming jobs I do post will not contain specific detail so please feel free to contact myself. I have to abide to GDPR rules so please don’t think I’m being rude if I can’t tell you who’s dogs or cats I’m carrying, I uphold and respect client confidentiality.

So far January has been so busy my feet aren’t touching the ground

I was asked by fellow pet transporter& friends k9A2B if I could accomadate a job asap getting a mastiff pup from Cornwall to Aberdeen

I was already sat in Glasgow when I received the message but was happy to do it

So after a very delayed start ( not my fault ) and new owners who had the so much patience eagerly awaiting for me to set off

A 12/13 hour drive but these trips ideally need to be 1-1 which this one was as I can then guarantee pup is not in the van longer than needed
However setting off from Cornwall at gone 10.30 am for this kind of trip is no joke 786 miles one way!!

The lovely yogi is a French mastiff x he was so good bless him
Having had microchip / vaccine & worming all on the morning he must of thought his world had ended
But grateful thanks to Charlotte & Stu the new owners who entrusted myself to get him up there
Thanks to to stu for coming out to meet me due to time of night etc & change of hotel
And I’m so grateful for the lovely gift bag Charlotte put together for me ( the Jaffa cakes went down welll 😀)
Yogi sure has the best home with another mastiff to grow up with
