We have a very sad anouncment to make regarding our daycare service.
It’s always been a priority for us to be completely honest and transparent about our business, and it has always been our priority to give one hundred percent when caring for your hound.
As many of you know, Katie unexpectedly lost her Mum recently in a tragic accident. This has affected our lives dramatically and there are now some quite serious changes we need to make. The biggest of which will involve a house move away from Ancroft Street, our home, and our business.
In order to create time and space for us to work through this, market, move properties, and also to comply with our changing license conditions, we have had to make a difficult decision.
Our daycare service, The Sighthound Social, will close indefinitely at 6pm on Friday 26th April. Any bookings you may have after this date are now cancelled. We will no longer be able provide a safe and supervised space for our daycare hounds after this date.
We know this will impact some of you immensely and we are sorry.
Our boarding service will continue as normal but we will be reducing our availability for the remainder of 2024.
We feel sad to have made this decision. We have built up a great relationship not only with the hounds, but also their humans too. Our regular pack especially are close to our hearts and we will miss Daisy’s zoomies, Lexi’s bum scratch, Rocky’s swagger, Maevy’s demands, Rafa’s cuddles, Jim’s calendar poses, Birkie’s teefy chitters, Molly’s roachy roos, and Archie’s standy up hugs. It’s been almost two years of this pack coming and going and we have seen them change, grow, and enjoy their social time with us in ways we never imagined. It’s been an adventure for sure.
Until we close, our service will continue as normal, although we appreciate that some customers may want to withdraw their hounds early as they try alternative care providers. There is no obligation to stay with us until the closing date. For that reason we will remove our pre pay discount option for April daycare bookings, and charge you on a discounted Pay as you go rate of £22.50 per session.
We want to thank our families and friends for their constant encouragement when we started our little daycare, and we hope our customers will bear with us during this difficult period.
