One Pharaoh here in body, mind is far far away 🦋, I’m in love with Alfie’s regular smile for photos 😂, Buddy and Bo working it true cocker style, so proud of our Chester he’s been a little worrier a few weeks ago and today with helicopter over top he didn’t flicker, other pharaoh hound up front in her first school photo 🌈💖

As trainers we see people laugh at zoomies, or leash grabbing called “oh they just want to play” , but the reality is fooling around is an active stress response. Look at what is occurring in the environment to cause this and stop, regroup, end what you are doing, and note exactly when it happened, where and try to decipher why to help change the emotional response.

❗️ Heat stroke warning

With temperatures soaring, please be aware of the signs of heat stroke in dogs – thank you to our friends at Vets Now for this handy reminder. Our furry friends can really struggle in the heat, so it is vital we keep them cool in these extreme temperatures 🐕

🐶 Walk in the early morning or later in the evening when it is cooler
💧 Always provide plenty of water
😎 Access to cool and shady areas
❌ Never ever leave your dog in a parked car on a sunny day
☀️ Watch out for the signs of heat stroke and seek veterinary care immediately if you are concerned

If you are due to attend a donation session with us this week, please be mindful of travelling with your dog in the heat. Keep them in an air conditioned car where possible and provide plenty of water. We will continue to review the situation and will ensure we are only running donation sessions if it is safe to do so. As always, the welfare of your dog is our top priority.

Why my back doors appear to be open... It is totally secure (my van bings at me if it isn’t), it is on a ventilation lock which allows an air flow throughout the van. Thank you to everyone who has been concerned, it isn’t the first and certainly won’t be the last, I’d very much have done the same had I not known of these marvellous creations
