🚨 Stolen Tortoise Update 🚨

Out of the 20 tortoises stolen, 5 have now been found, left on a doorstep in Green Street, Great Canfield (Essex). Sadly, 15 tortoises are still missing.

These tortoises belong to a lady in her 70s, who is absolutely devastated by this theft. They are her pride and joy, and she just wants them safely home.

Because the tortoises were dumped locally, it’s very likely the thieves are from the area. We’re pleading: please, do the right thing and return the rest.

🐢 Still Missing:
• 1 x Leopard tortoise
• 2 x Spur-thighed hatchlings
• 4 x Hermann hatchlings
• 2 x Spur-thighed adults
• 6 x Hermann adults

We are currently searching in and around Great Canfield. If you live nearby or are out walking, please keep your eyes open, and most importantly, keep sharing this post.

15 years of love

On Monday our hearts broke as we had to make the hard decision to let Sphinx cross the rainbow bridge.

Sphinx AKA Sphinxy / Sphinxypher / Socks / Kitten was our final boy out of our Trio of bachelor's of Lynx, Sphinx and Dennis.

He was Stevens & I's second pet in our relationship however he has been our longest living furry friend.

Sphinx would know that cereal had been had when the spoon clattered in the bowl and any remaining milk dregs belonged to him

His call to his people was loud meowls demanding food, head bumps and loves
He would join you under the blanket for snuggles and provide a calming purr in times of need.

G loved this cat beyond measure and Sphinx loved him in return, allowing himself to become a pillow and snuggle buddy for our boy.

15 years of love and loyalty, overcome cancer once, but unable to fight it off a second time.

Selfishly 15 years would never be long enough to have you, but we are ever so greatfiul for the time we did have.

Thank you for allowing us to be your humans, for loving us and allowing us to love you.

Rest easy our sweet boy ❤️

Hi W&W Family

As some of you know, not only am I the owner of Whiskers And Waggs but I am also a Specialist Palliative Nurse working for

I am posting on behalf of one of our community patient's who is in the sad and difficult position of having to try and re-home her beloved dog.

Please see the description of Zed from her owner below. The original message can be found on the page.

“Zed is an 8 year old Working Service Border Collie. Handled and trained by myself.
She is not spayed and only has a season once a year. She has been trained in everything except herding sheep. She can detect drugs. Has been trained in Personal Protection. I must emphasis she has never bitten anyone ever.

She is raw fed ,food supplier is Nurturing by Nature.

She has a lypoma which ha been biopsied by Natterjacks. Is slightly arthritic in her front leg, hence we no longer do Agility. She loves playing ball

She needs a very experienced handler/owner.

She hates Fireworks and having her claws done.

Anyone interested will of course be interviewed.

I have terminal cancer and been told I may well not make this Christmas.

We have had the delight of minding Guinness 🐢

Guinness is an Indian Star Tortoise who belongs to one of Sarah's colleagues.

Many moons ago we had our own Indian Start Tortoise called pH so it was a joy and privilege to look after Guiness.

Bar eating his greens, his favourite pass time is pooping in a clean pool!

Some snaps from our June sit's with Simba and Shorty (Our old boys)

With their human mama we worked out that Shorty (the smallest pup) is around 72 and Simba is 90 in human years.

Though our walks are smaller and slower, they still love and snuggle like a young pup ❤️
