The good old British weather has taken its toll on Pawsitive Thinking HQ, and vital building work is needed. The access required and the general nature of the work means that HQ needs to be cleared out to enable the renovation to take place. So we are having a complete clearance sale! Please take a look at the website and grab yourself some enrichment items for your pets, all at reduced prices. Everything must go, so everything is discounted, with up to 60% off.

As packaging and labels run out, I will not restock at the present time. So please expect some differences from my usual service. Everything will still be packed with care, just with perhaps more recycled materials and fewer printed labels. Tissue paper is running low! So things may be a bit more random in appearance for unboxing, but the same quality products will be inside.

Saturday lunchtime news...the weatherman says it's raining! 🌧

A couple of days ago, his Lordship took his hobby to a whole new level. Whilst smearing his neck profusely with fox 💩, he managed to get some in not just one but BOTH eyes.

Can you imagine my delight yesterday when my nose radar goes off again. There was me naively making the dog's beds, thinking I'll have to wash them, when I realised it wasn't the beds that were emanating the stench.

I turn around to be presented with LUMPS. Actual lumps of Murphy's favourite perfume, along his body and caked on his collar. The plonker had done it again, with k***s on!

So if anyone knows of any industrial strength de-stinking solutions, please let me know. I've tried specific fox 💩 shampoo and it hasn't touched it. 🙈 Bonus points if he doesn't need a full bath to use it, because whilst he will happily jump in water troughs, puddles and the lake, he's not too keen on being washed!

It's a joke in our house that our dogs eat better than we do. I spend far more time preparing their meals than ours 🤭 This includes regularly making bone broth, which can take a while.

National Appeal, please share far and wide

Amber came to Ferne in November 2021 after she had come to the end of the holding period in the pound. Being an unidentified, unclaimed stray she had nowhere to go so we agreed to take her in with several other dogs in the same situation. All of the other dogs Amber arrived with have long since found their forever homes leaving Amber still waiting in the kennels with just her cuddly toys.
We have no information about Ambers life before kennels but looking at some of the scars on her, she has seen some of the less lovely side of life.
Amber is a real character and has tonnes of energy, while she can be bouncy and a lot of fun she also loves to just chill out on the sofa and have plenty of cuddles. She is a joy to be around and would make a fantastic companion to someone in need of a bit of sunshine in their life.
Amber would suit a new home with a lovely big sofa and no other animals to take up any attention from her new owner. She seems to only make friends with very specific dogs, namely larger male greyhound/lurcher types. No other dogs will do. Amber would be best in a rural home where she doesn’t have lots of other dogs walking past all the time. Obviously as a sighthound type, cats and small furries are a definite no no and she would only be able to have off lead exercise in a safe area such as a secure dog field. Amber could live with older children.
Amber has just had her 8th Birthday, it would be amazing if by her next Birthday (hopefully long before) she is fully settle in her home and we are able to write a happy ever after story for this girl.
