Established in 2014, Homestay Animal Care is a business that offers a personalised and affordable service tailored to suit your pet’s requirements. Recognising the different requirements of every individual animal is an important part of being a responsible pet owner and in your absence you should be confident that your animal is being cared for to the standards both you and your pet need. HAC has

a wealth of experience with a wide range of species, from everyday pets such as dogs, cats and small mammals to more specialised animals like reptiles, birds and horses. I am fully insured and certified in:
* First Aid for Animal Care Assistants
* Equine First Aid. Further to this HAC maintain a network of contacts in the animal retail industry and also veterinary care, which gives us access to a wealth of knowledge from a wide range of people. I also worked part time at a local veterinary surgery for 3 years to get a more hands on experience with animal medical care. Lastly I am fully insured through Pet Business Insurance and hold both a standard and enhanced DBS checks. Please contact Amelia for a free quotation and first meeting!

Would you like your cat to be a lifesaver? 🐱

If your cat is over 4kg and between one and 10 years old, they can donate blood which we need for vital lifesaving operations for our patients.

We are looking to update our feline blood donor register and are looking for individuals who are happy to offer their cats to add to our list.

This is the full criteria they need to meet:

✅ Weigh over 4kg
✅ Age between 1 and 10 years of age
✅ Never received a blood transfusion
✅ Not on any medication
✅ Fit and healthy
✅ Friendly temperament and happy to be handled
✅ Never travelled abroad
✅ Can be indoor or outdoor cats
✅ Up-to-date with vaccinations
✅ Up-to-date with flea and worm treatment

All cats will have a blood screen before being able to donate to check their health status and blood type. They'll also have a full physical examination by one of our vets.

We are a certified cat-friendly practice, so every effort is made to make sure their visit is as stress-free as possible. ♥

This weeks walks were a bit hindered by the very hot weather, we got out early, stayed in the shade and played in the water!

As little Lola needed me to visit in the afternoons we swapped walks for pop ins!

Today officially marks my 10th anniversary of running the business.

However, it is bittersweet as I will be closing down the business in 6 weeks.

Lots of factors have brought me to this decision and I am heartbroken to announce it.

I would like to thank all of my clients who have supported me over the last decade and I could not be more grateful to have met so many wonderful pets!

While we had that super hot weather we stuck to shady areas, much slower pace and only walked where there was water so they could cool off and have a drink!
