I am a qualified, professional clinical behaviourist and dog trainer based in Dorset. My passion is to help dogs and their families to have the very best lives, together. While out with my own dog I would meet people most days who were having issues with their dogs and, in the worst cases, where the relationship with their dog was under serious threat due to training and behaviour issues. Without

exception, the people I met want to do the best for their dogs. Unfortunately, so much of the dog training advice available on the internet and on social media is confusing, contradictory and, often, very outdated. There was clearly a need for something different. My Philosophy:
My dog training and behaviour modification work is based on a knowledge of animal behaviour. When we truly understand how dogs learn and how we can effectively communicate with them, we can help our dogs make good choices. I will guarantee, however, that my approach to training will help you bond with your dog and will create something much, much more than a simple quick fix. My approach is supportive and confidence-building; there is no right or wrong, good or bad. I bring a coaching style to my session and all of the training with your dog, and with you, is a journey and something to be enjoyed. Through this approach, I will help you to build the relationship with your dog that you (both) want.

After the vixen who lives in our garden had four cubs in 2020, we were sad not to see any cubs last spring. We spotted the vixen looking very pregnant last week and had seen new digging around one of the holes. So, we set up the trailcam to see what we could see - didn't expect to see this lady coming out of the hole.

An unusual little video clip (it’s not a photo!!). If you look carefully you can see a person with a large group of dogs walking just behind; but even with all the distraction of 5 or 6 dogs running off lead so close, this gorgeous, young #bordercollie pup (and Martha) doesn’t move a muscle. You can see she is aware of the other dogs but she stays totally present with me. It is learning and practicing this kind of focus that helps develop mindfulness, calmness and is the key to flawless recall.
