Let's talk about biological fulfilment and what we as dog owners can do to help our dogs be healthy and confident in all aspects of their lives. Whilst we all know how important the physical aspect is, we also need to remember that the cognitive aspect is just as, if not more important. After all, it is incredibly easy to fall into the trap of thinking physical exercise will solve all problems, but all it does is create an athlete whom lacks the ability to switch off, which is quite frankly exhausting! Whilst some biological fulfilments are associated with dogs in general, others tend to be breed specific. For example: Hounds love to use their noses Terriers love to hunt Gundogs love to flush and retrieve Herders love to control the movement of things in their environments. And so on. This is why it is SO important that you pick a breed that suits your lifestyle or be willing to change your lifestyle for the breed. By ensuring we include appropriate fulfilment in their day to day lives with both generalised and specific training, enrichment and games, we massively reduce the likelihood of your dog forming "problem" or "nuisance" behaviours in a bid to do it themselves and start to create well rounded, healthy, confident dogs. This could look like: Scentwork for Hounds Flirt poles for Terriers Herding balls for herders Retrieves for Gundogs And so on. The footage used in this reel is of two different groups, both of which have walkers (@lncwalks and myself) who understand the importance of meeting both the physical and cognitive requirements for each specific individual as well as the group as a whole, and as you can see, it pays off into this gorgeous display of impulse control in the form of a group stay with 9 dogs all from different households! Day 2 of our photography session - Let's have the best bits! Once again, a massive thank you to @lunarrphotographyy for taking the trip down to see us. Imogen is super patient and takes everything in the pups strides. She never asks for more than they can give, and she makes the whole experience enjoyable for everybody. Thank you to @tonka.bluefrenchie for being our behind the scenes women and Emma for putting up with me over the 2 days 😂 A BIG thank you to all my owners who have taken part this year, as always we couldn't do this without you guys. Fun fact: Emma used to come and help me out when she was at college! Fast forward a few years, and here she is walking (well cuddling) full time! It's safe to say all the dogs adore her and we wouldn't have it any other way!

To quote Buddy the elf "ITS CHRISTMASSSS" Back in August/November I borrowed my dogs for a top secret Christmas mission. I can now show you all what my pooches and I got up to!
