We have trained Rescue Dogs from all over Europe and the UK for 10 years with considerable success. They can at first show “difficult” behaviour but with training and probably for the first time in their lives, given care, training, boundaries and rules, they respond well.

However, it’s tempting to put your Rescue Dog’s poor behaviour down to its bad experiences and tolerate the barking, biting, pulling on the lead, and aggression. This is a mistake and unless these behaviours are dealt with quickly your life will be a misery and you’ll regret your decision.

We train your Rescue Dog and you! We believe that one to one training with you and your dog at your home is the best way of training and stopping dog bad behaviour.

"I was at my wits end having been recently sold a “trained dog” for an awful lot of money. The trainer I bought the dog from had not proof tested him and as a result I ended up with a strong dog and no control .

I found myself going out in the dead of the night or 4 am to avoid people, moving objects and so people didn’t see me sobbing whilst being dragged around the streets by him I called the guys at Leeds Dog School and the next day they fitted me in as they realised how desperate both me and my dog were .

Within 30 minutes my dog and I were working in harmony, both our anxieties had gone. Today I have put what i was told into practice and what a joy it has been spending time with my boy. Ollie and Rob made me see how my anxieties were being picked up by my dog which in turn was creating negative energy even before we set off!

They are fantastic dogs but need careful training.Obedience is vital in your Doberman as having an obedient dog makes ownership of your pet an absolute pleasure! At Leeds Dog School we will train your dog to a high level in obedience. Residential training for your dog takes place in a 5 Star Licenced Kennel where your dog will receive the very best care and attention.

Residential training is in blocks of a week at a time and is totally flexible and clients can book a single week or more according to their requirements.Daily intensive training sessions will ensure that your dog’s obedience will improve with a tailored programme to your exact needs and resolve any particular problems you may be having.

Owner training is a vital part of the process and working with the owner is a major part of the training. We work extensively with the owner at the kennels to make sure that they understand the commands and can take control of their dog following the training.
