We were blessed with a visit from Noodle yesterday, our LRRP & Regulatory Affairs Officer, Claire Francis's 12 week old puppy who will be joining us in our office. Vetoquinol UK are proud to allow dogs in the office, giving owners peace of mind knowing they don't have to leave their dog alone as well as reducing stress, dogs have been proven to increase employee happiness by increasing oxytocin levels, the love hormone!

Starting from the 10th June it will be a legal requirement in England to have your pet cat microchipped, with fines of up to £500 for those who don't comply.

Did you know that, out of the 9 million pet cats in England, a staggering 2.3 million remain unchipped? This poses a serious challenge in reuniting lost or stolen cats with their owners.
The new law aims to ensure the safety and security of our furry companions by making them easily identifiable when needed.

Happy National Rescue Dog Day!

Did you know? The Dog's Trust estimates that there are approximately 110,000 dogs in need of new homes at any given time, with rescue centers often operating at or above capacity.

Featured are Sprocket and Rizzo, the lovely pups of our Technical Services Manager Felicity, who were rescued from RSPCA and Dogs Trust. They serve as a heartwarming reminder of the unconditional love that rescue dogs bring to their new families 🐶

Today marks the beginning of National Pet ID week, a time dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of identifying our furry friends.

Starting in June of this year, it will be mandatory in England to have cats microchipped, ensuring that they can be easily identified and reunited with their owners if they ever go missing.

Remember to reach out to your vet and schedule an appointment to microchip your cat! Let's keep our pets safe and secure.

Vetoquinol UK had a brilliant time at Crufts yesterday cheering on the incredible Watson flyball team! 🎉🐶 The energy and excitement in the arena was contagious, and the flyball team showcased the incredible bond between humans and their canine companions.

🐾 National Black Cat Day 🐾

October 27th is dedicated to raising awareness about black cats and challenging the superstitions surrounding them.

Despite their charm, black cats often face unfair discrimination due to the incorrect belief that they bring bad luck, and this unfortunate misconception has led to black cats being the least likely to find loving homes. Rescue charity Cats Protection reported these residents take 13% longer to be rehomed than cats of any other colour, whereas in reality black cats are just as loving, playful, and loyal as any other cat breed.
