A proud moment for us a CRUFTS BEST OF BREED! Mrs Samantha Lewis' Ch Olphea Charman. They took the time to come and see us and share the good news :) Samantha decided to try us out after last year's Crufts and joined as a Breeder/ Partner. Sadly Otterhounds are one of the UK 'small breeds' so Samantha is doing a fantastic job for this breed so it was just great to see Charman in the main ring Sunday evening on national TV!

We may not shout it very loud from the rooftops but Essential do support various animal charities both through our international Charity program but also at national, local level.

Essential Foods UK has donated food to charities such as The Maggie Fleming Animal Hospice and The Karass Sanctuary, SYD - Saving Yorkshire's Dogs, Helping Yorkshire Poundies - HYPS to name a few.

They say it’s dangerous to meet your heroes, but after meeting John and the incredible team at Soi Dog Foundation, I truly understand the magnitude of their impact on the world. I am bursting with pride that they have chosen to open their Phuket sanctuary and hearts for ESSENTIAL FOODS, as we share a mission to improve and prolong the lives of dogs and cats.
Soi Dog Foundation was established in Phuket, Thailand, in 2003 by John and Gill Dalley from the UK, along with Dutch retiree Margot Homburg. Their mission is to rescue countless street dogs and cats who have no one else to care for them.

Last week, we had the pleasure of celebrating Soi Dog's 20th anniversary in London as the main sponsor of the event, and we continue to be truly amazed by what they have achieved.

Animal welfare and the preservation of wildlife and nature are causes very close to our hearts at ESSENTIAL FOODS, so having been able to support Soi Dog for the past years as part of our Global Charity Program fills my heart.
