It's Day 1 of Rabbit Awareness Week: Happy Hoppy Homes! 🏠🐰

Your bunnies deserve space to thrive! According to RSPCA guidelines, rabbits need housing where they can hop, run, jump, dig and stretch out fully when lying down. They need enough room to exercise and stand up fully on their back legs without their ears touching the roof. A proper setup includes separate areas for feeding, resting, and exercise.

Make sure you’re doing everything you can to help your outdoor and indoor rabbits stay at a comfortable temperature.

Also, you will need to clean out their litter tray / enclosure more frequently to avoid attracting flies.

⚠️ Warning of rabbit toys made with wire ⚠️

Rabbit owners, we wanted to draw your attention to toys like this, which are easily available online…

Here’s what vet Dr Richard Saunders has to say:

“The type of wire used in this type of feeding based enrichment toy is, put simply, dangerous. It's possible for it to become wrapped around a limb, like a snare, and for sharp ends to damage sensitive tissues like mouths and eyes.”

So if you have toys like this for your rabbits, we would advise removing them for safety reasons.

I'm Olive (left) leader of the gang. My good pal Cheddar is in the middle and my daughter Daisy on the right 💕

We have been here at The Potato Patch for many months now, and just can't understand why? They say it's because people don't want long haired piggies as we are too hard work, but we can't help it, it's just the way we were born 🥺 Apparently two piggies always get adopted quicker than three, but we're a family and we just can't bear to be apart from each other, so we would really love to find a home as a trio 3️⃣

Surely there must be someone out there looking for a ready-made herd of gorgeous girls?! 💜 We could even live with children if they are a little older and understand how to be calm around piggies. Maybe we would even bond into an existing herd with some time and patience. We love our food, especially dandelions! We would love to become a part of your family 🐹 Please can you share and help us find our perfect match? 🫶🏻
