Huge congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs..... Aimee and Ben who were married yesterday at Channels. I was absolutely delighted to be Cheddars Chaperone for the day, what a super little chap he was, from walking down the aisle with your rings, socialising with your guests and posing very nicely indeed in photographs. ☺️ Well done Cheddar and thank for all those little cuddles we had too!🥰🐾🐾

Happy 2nd birthday to our 'Woody! You are such a character and we love you to bits, you can be a naughty little sausage but you do make us laugh with your antics! In your two years you have been to Crufts twice and completed your first training course in scent work with flying colours, Mummy is very proud!🥰 Extra treats tonight are definitely in store!!###

What a beautiful day yesterday for Charlotte and Mo's wedding at Channels! As many of you know, this was my last week of walks and what an emotional week it has been. Never did I think when I started Adventure Tails 7 years ago, that I would meet you all and make some wonderful friendships that will last a lifetime. You have entrusted me with your fur-babies who have become a part of my family, I have got to know all their wonderful temperaments and quirky, funny ways that I'm really going to miss.😥 This journey has been truly amazing and I really can't thank you enough for my beautiful cards, messages and gifts you have given me, I am absolutely overwhelmed.❤️
I would also like to give a big mention to:
- Vince Larkin who has helped me with endless questions over the years with dog training!
- Donna Hudgell for supporting me, my last minute requests and being a wonderful friend!🥰
- and of course my daughter Emma, who has also supported Adventure Tails with walks and pet sits...
Thank you all so much!

It's not goodbye!! I am continuing with the Dog Chaperone side of the business and the pet sits we have booked in, but please keep in touch and send me pictures of your dogs!

My next adventure now starts and has only come about by me putting one of my leaflets through her door all those years ago!! Who would have known!!

Here we are at Channels Wedding Open Day, looking forward to seeing you all, please come and visit our stand, Ruby loves a fuss! If you would love to have your four-legged family member at your wedding, then let us take away the stress, we are DBS checked, insured, first aid for dogs trained and I'm a professional dog handler too, so your pooch is in good hands.🐾🐾

Happy New Year to you all, not the best start getting covid, but back to normal with our walks last week and being out again with all your fur-babies, for some fun and lots of cuddles!

Thank goodness the rain has let up these last few days and with the colder weather has meant the ground is less muddy, far more enjoyable, well for me anyway!😂

And that's a wrap for us!! Thank you to all our wonderful clients for supporting us this year, we have loved walking and looking after your fur-babies, they have all become part of our family and have had extra cuddles (and treats!) this week!🐾

With Christmas fast approaching this is a reminder that we are closed from Christmas Eve until 2nd January for a well earned rest and to spend some time with our families before we start back on 2nd January.😊

I have included some recent pictures although last week was very damp indeed so not as many pictures taken!

Also a very exciting week as our Woody won 'Puppy of the Year' at the Wickford, Basildon & District Canine Society, to be honest it was rather a shock, but a very nice shock indeed!!! An amazing end to the year....photo at the end with a very proud Mum!😁

🌲🌲****Christmas Shoe Boxes ***🌲🌲

It's that time of year again....I will be collecting shoe boxes for the AA Dog Rescue. They are so incredibly grateful for any help and support and always appreciate the generosity of my clients and followers.

Below are some ideas for you to consider when filling your shoeboxes.

Treats
Chews
Dentastix
Toys
Snuffle mat
Blanket
Shampoo
Brushes
Filled Hooves
Antler Ears
Balls
Food
Slip lead
Collar

No rawhide

You can use a shoe box or Xmas bag or similar as they are easy to transport.

Please include a card from yourselves inside as the dogs open them with the staff and they show.a video of that on Christmas Day.....you may get a mention.

No need to wrap the items inside.. Unless you want to but the dogs do enjoy 'unwrapping' them.

If you decide to do one for puppies then mark it puppy on the outside as the pups need puppy treats etc

Similar you could also do big or small dog, boy or girl.

I will start collecting them around 20th November.🐶🐕🐾🐾

Main Event Weddings are hosting a Wedding Fayre at Channels this Sunday from 11am-3pm, I will be there with my Dog Chaperone stand, please come and say hello, bring your fur-baby as cuddles are guaranteed by all of us! We can discuss including your pet on your special day whether just for photos or meet and greet, ring bearer, mingling with your guests as let's face it everyone loves having your important family member and they love all the attention too!😁

This week was rather a mixed bag with the weather conditions, however most days turned out quite warm and sunny, not bad considering we are at the end of October.😊 On a separate note, I am loving seeing all the Halloween decorations starting to appear....🎃

Huge congratulations to Jack and Zoe who were married yesterday at Channels with Jett, their rescue greyhound, trying not to steal the limelight!! Such a beautiful wedding and Jett was a very well behaved boy, an absolute credit to them.🥰

Channels Estate are holding their open day on Sunday from 11am-3pm, I will be there offering my Dog Chaperone service, along with all the other Channels Estate preferred suppliers, please do pop by and say hello if you are planning your wedding day.xx

Yesterday Donna and myself attended our refresher Canine First Aid course, hosted by Gary Notley. An excellent course covering Emergency canine care to include CPR, seizures, shock, Bloat, poisoning, snake bites and more. I would highly recommend for any dog owner to attend.

As always another busy week for us and today I am very excited to be at Channels as Dog Chaperone to Jett and his wonderful parents who are tying the knot!..... I will post some pictures later today.

It's been a little while since I've done a post, spending this time catching up after a very busy summer...I decided to count up today how many cat visits myself, Donna and Emma did during the school holidays (aside of our walks) and was amazed the total came to just over 170 visits!!! So a big thank you to all our clients for entrusting us to look after your fur-babies while you were away, we absolutely loved looking after them.☺️🐱

I hope you are all having a wonderful Bank Holiday weekend!

Another very busy week for us with 3 new clients, pet visits, dog taxi to collect a dog from kennels, chinchilla visit (first time for us!) alongside our usual walks!

I would also like to wish Noodle all the very best in his new home, we will miss you so much on our walks, you are an amazing boy who captures the heart of everyone he meets. Big hugs Noodle.❤️

Last week was the busiest we have had, working very long hours to support our fur-babies and respond to our clients and all the enquiries we have received..From 6am to 9.30pm each day, I did my best to respond to you all. I can't thank you enough for supporting us.🤗

I addition to our planned week we:-
* Cleared up the aftermath of a cat bringing in a live magpie into the clients home while they were away....how it got the bird through the cat flap!! The first picture shows the innocent face of the culprit!🤣
* Played 'blowing bubble's' with another young cat, absolutely loved this, sooo cute!🥰
* Reunited an elderly dog with it's owner who was looking after it whilst their parent was away, it had escaped out of the garden....the importance here is to ensure that your dog has a name tag, this one didn't and took knocking on doors and walks round the estate before I found the owner! Was about to take it to the vets to check the microchip details.
* I also reunited a dog who was wandering down Arun Park a couple of weeks ago, fortunately this dog did have a tag so much easier to locate the very relieved owner!
* New client visits
*Then a flat tyre to end the week (huge thanks to hubby for sorting it out!)

Another wonderful week for us, rather a mixed bag with the weather what with rain one day and much warmer weather the next, we are keeping a very close eye so we can rearrange our walks to.ensure the dogs aren't out in the midday sun.....not something we've had to do for a while!!😂

We have lots of cats that we are looking after at the moment,.Donna, Emma.and myself are all very busy and loving the fusses we have with them. We also look after your smaller pets too, guinea pigs, rabbits and hamsters and gerbils, plus feeding your fish while you are away, so please just get in touch if you need any help.

Firstly huge congratulations to Stephen and Jodie who were recently married at Channels Estate, an amazing wedding with all four of their fur-babies attending, their key roles were ring bearer and walking down the aisle with the bridal party. They kept us all entertained and were an absolute delight!🐾🐾🐾🐾

After a very relaxing holiday I am delighted to be back, seeing all my doggies and their waggies tails was just wonderful!!🥰 Thank you so much to Donna and Emma for looking after everything while I was away, I can't thank you both enough.🤗

I've attached a few photos from the last week and would also like to mention little Harper who joined us for a walk yesterday, absolutely lovely to have you and help us.😁

I am now on holiday for a couple of weeks, all my doggies have had extra treats and cuddles with promises of more when I get back! I will miss you all!🥰

***Warning!!***

I have just been informed that there is blue-green algae in the river Chelmer and parts have been condemned.... More by the flats in town, so just be careful if you have dogs that go in for a swim or have a drink, especially in this weather. Blue-green algae when ingested can be fatal for dogs.

Thank you to my clients this week for being flexible with the dog walks, some very early starts followed by pet sits and cuddles!!🥰
