🐾🐾🐾 Walking Availability 🐾🐾🐾

With my waiting list cleared, I still have a few gaps in my schedule. I currently have space on a few of my group walks, these are structured, woodland walks with lots of adventure. Please message me for more information. Spaces are available on my CD walk and my Dalbeattie/Kippford area walk.

I’m afraid I don’t have any solo walk availability at the moment and my boarding books remain full.

Pictured is Charlie boy, he’s been joining us regularly since 2019 but has sadly had to retire as he just can’t manage long walks anymore. He’s been such a large presence in the pack and we’re really going to miss him. ❤️

Summer already?!? With all the whacky weather, it’s snuck up on me, given it’s rarely felt like June this month.
We’ve had another very busy start to the year, thank you as always for all of your support. Just when I think I couldn’t possibly get any busier, I do. So I’m taking a wee break to recharge. I’ll be back on the 10th July raring to go again.

📷📷As promised, I tried a lot harder on the photo front this week. 📷📷
We’ve had lots of adventures and it’s mostly been in the sunshine. I often say there’s about 4 days a year where the weather is ideal dog walking weather.. not too hot, not too cold, not too wet, not too muddy, not too many ticks…etc, etc.. We’ve had 5 in a row this week. We could be doomed for the rest of the year 😳🤣🤣

Yesterday I went to go and say my last goodbyes to Seamus 💔
I really did love this boy like he was my own. Seamus was my first dog when I started my business 6 years ago and he tricked me into thinking I was going to have the easiest job in the world. He set the bar high! He was such a gentleman and has been such a constant presence that we’re all going to be so lost without him. I’m going to miss him so much 💔. All my love goes out to his humans who are utterly devastated. Rest easy my little brown bear 🐻

By popular demand, I have just taken delivery of my diary for 2025!! For now I will only be taking term time boarding bookings as I have absolutely no idea what our family plans for next year are yet. Trying to get my other half to decide what we’re doing next week is challenge enough 🤣
This years boarding diary remains pretty much chockablock. I do however, have a space opened up on my morning Castle Douglas group walk Monday - Friday excluding a Wednesday. I also have availability for home visits for any other furries throughout the year 🐈🐇🐓🦎🐍🐈‍⬛

And we’re back! Well… almost, we’re back tomorrow after a very relaxing and much needed break. We had a ridiculously busy 2023 but had a blast. Thank you to all of my customers for your support, I really do have the best job looking after your furry family members. Thanks too for all of my very generous Christmas gifts, I’ve been well and truly spoilt!
I’ll be spending this afternoon catching up on messages and admin and sorting out my diary.
I’m afraid I’m still not in the position to take on any new dogs for boarding. For any existing dogs, please get dates over asap as I already have very limited availability for the year ahead.
My new van will be hitting the road tomorrow and with a little extra space this makes logistics slightly easier, opening up a couple of walking spaces on a couple of my group walks. Please message for more info.

Missing chocolate poodle in the barhill woods. His human is desperate to get him back before the fireworks go off. Contact details below.

DOUGLAS IS MISSING

Whilst out on a walk this afternoon with his owner Douglas took off after something and hasn't been seen since. He's been missing for an hour from Barhill Woods in Dalbeattie. Please anyone in the area keep an eye out for him. His owner Danny isn't on Facebook but can be contacted on 07706 038890 with any sightings. Alternatively if you see him please let me know.

There are fireworks scheduled to go off in the park this evening from 7.30 so his owner is desperate to find him and get him home safely before then.

Thank you. I'm just heading out to help look for him.

❗️❗️UPDATE 07/05/23❗️❗️

The substance I removed from the woods was very quickly identified as most definitely NOT bird food and likely to be poison. It has since been lab tested and confirmed as Rodenticide (Rat poison). It does however, look similar to bird food but is much more luminous in colour and a completely different texture.
The matter has been reported to both the police and the council. The council have searched the area and removed any found and put up warning signs.
That is all the information I have. Any questions, please direct them at the council or the police.

❗️❗️Warning!! Rat poison sprinkled all over the ground in the Rounall wood. Dogs will eat this. ❗️❗️
Edit: I’ve been back up and cleared up what I could see, I was loosing the light and I imagine whoever has gone to the effort of putting it there, will have put it elsewhere 😡😡

Risk assessment says ‘No’. I’m afraid todays walks will be cancelled. It is too dangerous to be hanging about anywhere near trees. Keeping your dogs safe is my top priorty. I’ll be in touch with everyone individually to make sure you have the message.
