Now the weather is finally warming up, it can be a real challenge keeping our pups cool and comfortable.

There’s plenty of easy things you can do. Walking early or late. Find some shade. Keep water with you. Homemade frozen treats, to name a few.

Now the clocks have changed, most of us are walking our dogs in the dark 🌙

Whether it’s in the morning or evening, it’s important to think about the safety of both you and your dog 💭

Some things you can do for yourself are:

🥾 Wearing suitable footwear, in case of wet or muddy paths
👥 Seeking out friends to walk with
🔦 Carrying a torch
💡 Wearing a high visibility jacket
🍂 Avoiding remote or unlit routes

For your beloved dog, there are lots of options such as:

🎽 Reflective or light up collars, coats or accessories
🧷 Keeping them on lead (even if recall is good, unseen hazards are dangerous)
🎈 Observe their mood, make sure they appear comfortable and relaxed
🧭 Tracking devices that clip to their collar/harness

Make sure you’re both fully prepared for those winter strolls 💙

Bonfire night can be a fun evening for people, whether going out or lighting fireworks at home 🎆

Sadly, it can be a very stressful and upsetting night for our dogs. For some, it can affect them so badly, they require vet prescribed medication to help minimise their stress 😢

Our dogs may show intense anxiety in response to outside noises in many ways, such as;

💙 Crying
💙 Whimpering
💙 Trembling
💙 Hiding
💙 Pacing
💙 Nervously toileting inside
💙 Becoming destructive

The good news is there are lots that we can do, to help make their night calmer and less scary 🥰💚

PLEASE DON’T LET YOUR DOGS DO THIS.
We had a report that the field was not as clean as usual this lunchtime 💩 after just a few morning visitors (and I checked the field was clean at 7am), so I have just missed dinner with my children to go and walk it and check it’s tidy for our 6pm visitor. While there I see a dog has gone to town on the log stumps. That’s not what they are here for.
We keep the field as nice as possible, and put a lot of effort into maintenance - all we ask is that you respect the obstacles and pick up your dog’s poo. Please help us keep the space beautiful for everybody. Thank you, Hayley and Sam 🐾

🧐 When do I get the padlock entry code for my visit?
💚 You will only get an email with the entry code, the day before your visit (and no sooner), for security reasons.

🧐 Who do I contact about my padlock entry code?
💚 Please email the Boundr team at [email protected] (rather than the field owners).

🧐 It’s the day before my visit to the field, but I haven’t seen the entry code email?
💚 Check your Junk and Spam folders too, as they sometimes get tucked away there.

🧐 My email is with outlook.com or Hotmail, where is the padlock entry code email?
💚 Switch your view to ‘Other’ instead of ‘Focused.’ Or change the Mail Layout Settings to ‘Don’t sort my messages’, which allows you to see all your emails normally. Also check your Junk and Spam folders.

🧐 I’m at the field now, but my padlock entry code doesn’t seem to work?
💚 Please email the Boundr team immediately at [email protected], they can help right away.
