Taking care of your feathered friends over winter 🐦

☃️ Ensure birds have access to clean, unfrozen water
❄️ Use covered feeders or place food in sheltered spots to keep it dry and edible, protected from the snow and rain
☃️ Consider adding birdhouses for shelter from the cold and in a safe location, such as out of reach from dogs
❄️ Stick to a consistent feeding routine with high energy foods such as suet, as birds quickly adapt to regular schedules

Flies and insects can be a real issue in the summer, reducing weaning weights by up to 7kg and a cow’s milk production by up to 30%! 🪰 Garlic is a strong fly repellent and when fed through a bucket, you can noticeably see less flies landing on your stock. We have a Suitably Qualified Person (SQP) who is an animal medicines advisor, to recommend and supply certain veterinary medicines. We can offer advice on cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry, equine and pets - all which are very competitively priced! We offer great value and our friendly team are on hand to give expert advice with easy parking and ‘carry to your car’ service.
