We had a wonderful visit with Bentley St Paul’s C of E primary school this week!

After a morning assembly full of amazing questions and stories from all of the children, the Year 1 class had some time to create “A Cats perfect day” and as you can see they did an amazing job.

We also had some time to go through some brilliant name suggestions for any cats we have coming in… with the likes of ‘Ginger’ and ‘Snowybowy’

Well done Year 1! 📚❤️

If you would like to book your school in for a workshop/assembly, please send us a DM 📩

APPEAL - Wolfie 💙

Meet Wolfie, a courageous 8 year old kitty who was found in need of urgent medical care, left alone indoors with three other cats.

Wolfie needed surgery to repair a hernia and dental treatment to improve his quality of life.

Now on the road to recovery in our cattery, we’re asking if you can donate to Wolfie’s campaign so that we can continue to provide care to more animals in need.

Every donation, no matter how small, helps 🙏

✨SUCCESS STORY✨

Meet cubby! Cubby was one of 30 cats that were rescued from an overcrowded home. The breeder was unable to sell them but thankfully the RSPCA were able to intervene and find all of the beautiful cats new homes 🏡❤️

Cubby now lives in a wonderful new home with four doggie siblings along with farm animals!

We love a happy ending 🐅❤️

SPECIAL APPEAL

Can you please this post far and wide?

Olaf and Elsa have been with us for nearly six months after their owner had to move to a care home 🥺

We are looking for a loving forever home or foster home for these two beautiful fur balls.

Olaf and Elsa are five year old, vaccinated, and vet checked. They are adorable together, cuddly, confident, happy cats who will spoil you in cuddles 🤍🤍

Help us find their forever home! 🏡

Fireworks bring joy to many, but they can also cause intense stress for owners of pets, horses and livestock. In what should be a time of celebration, owners will often see their pets struggling and trembling in fear.

In fact, 55% of pet and livestock owners say they dread fireworks season because of the impact fireworks have on their animals and local wildlife 😞

A VOLUNTEER! 🥰

Here at Essex South West, we are looking for new volunteers to help us kick start our new journey in 2025. Could this be you?

There are a number of ways you can get involved with the branch activities, also you get to decide the amount of time you can spare. The areas most important to us are:
Fund raisers
Adopters
Home checkers
Dog Walkers
Cat cuddlers
If you are interested in finding out more please email us on [email protected]

A £20 donation!

What does a £20 do for your local branch?

This could provide medicine and veterinary care for a cat. Sometimes a cat will come to us and need emergency treatment, maybe worming and flea treatment too!

It’s important all of the cats are checked over immediately, this way we can ensure we know of any underlying illnesses and arrange a plan with our veterinary partners. 🥼

This would be our most crucial part of starting a re-homing process!

Fancy sending a donation or maybe you’re planning to hold a charity event to raise money for your local RSPCA branch? Send us a DM 💌

🎶On the 9th day of christmas, Miss Pawsmas gave to me 🎶

Could you be our next foster? 🫵

We rely on fosterers to provide temporary homes for the animals in our care. Fostering an animal can help them recover from neglect, abuse, illness or injury. These are the first steps towards finding a new, loving forever home 🥰

When you foster an animal you’ll also be freeing up space in our centres so that we can rescue more animals in desperate need.

If you’re interested in signing up to be a foster with your local RSPCA branch, please send us a DM!

🎶On the 8th day of Christmas, Miss Pawsmas gave to me🎶

A NEW HOME! 🏡❤️

Snuggles and cuddles, our third rehoming in the past 2 months. The RSPCA elves have been jumping for joy at the cattery 🥳

We are so happy that another pair have been rehomed together!

Why is it important for the cats to stay together?

In snuggles and cuddles’ case, they had lived together with their previous owner for a long time before they arrived. Their owner had been taken into hospital which is very traumatic for all involved. Unfortunately for our pets, they don’t quite understand why their lives have been turned upside down, so it is even more important to keep their last ‘home comfort’.
