Finally getting round to showing you this large scale commission I finished a few weeks ago entitled “The Endeavour”

I was commissioned to capture two of my clients magnificent Cleveland Bay horses named Timberlane Huckleberry and Fryup Farmer . They were the leaders in their Cleveland Bay Endeavour coaching team of six who were a stunning sight appearing at Badminton in their heyday .

It’s always an endeavour in itself to paint a commission as you have the weight of expectation on your shoulder but ultimately this makes me push harder to make the best painting I can for my clients - and I’m pleased to say they are indeed delighted with it ! 🧡

I’m going to be adding a Commissions page to my website very soon so people can understand the process involved in commissioning a piece of art that captures the physicality, character, energy and soul of your own particular horse/ horses .

Huckleberry and Farmer have now passed on so it’s heart warming for the owners to have this vibrant portrait in their home as an emotional connection to all the wonderful times they shared together .

🥈 for Fabris in the 2*S at Wellington International Horse Trials finishing on his 26.6 dressage - 3* qualification ✔️

CSF Bruce was also super to finish 8th/94 in the same section just adding a pole to his 27 dressage dropping him off the podium🏅

Yesterday Global la Pomme finished on her 28 dressage for 4th in her 5yo section - thrilled with how much she’s come on🏅

And a good run for Global Promise in the 2*S just marred by a miscommunication at a straightforward fence XC dropping her out the placings after a good first two phases

Lots of lovely horses made for a very enjoyable event on a sunny bank holiday weekend🌞

Did you know… we have two entrance gates for this year's event. Please follow the route to your correct gate when you visit and look out for the yellow AA road signs when you get close.

GATE ONE: RG27 0LP is the Public Car Park and opens from 9:00am each day. The Public Car Park and Public Event Entrance can only be accessed via the A33 due to a one-way system being in place. Please ensure you leave of plenty of time for parking and queueing on arrival, to make sure you don’t miss any of the action!

BE members will be at the Public Gate (GATE 1) and will gain entry +1 with their membership card.

GATE TWO: RG27 0LE is for competitors, grooms, horseboxes, traders, hospitality and disabled ticket holders. This is the same entrance as last year opposite the New Inn, Heckfield.
