Hi, my name is Scratcdog, and I am a small 6 month old Jack Russell Cross. My new Mum and Dad love giving me cuddles, and taking me for walks. I get very excited especially before I go for a walk, and scratch the door to get out, I just can’t help it! If I want to go outside to do my jobs I scratch on the door to let my mum and dad know. The thing is that my mum gets upset when she sees the marks
on the door, although dad does not seem to mind! I am a bit nervous too when I am left on my own and scratch at the door if there are any noises or when I hear the car coming back. My dad does not like seeing mum upset so he designed door protectors to prevent scratches, and called them after me ‘scratchdog’. Although I am learning not to scratch my mum no longer gets upset and my doggy friends parents are now using them too! They really are quite simple but a bit of a hassle if you want to make them yourself. They are not really suitable for larger dogs but they are great for dogs like me and puppies.
