Happy Halloween from all the buns at Nibbles!
So lovely to see Jim and Rosie tucking into hay now. Hopefully it won't be too long before we can get them in for their ops and ready to find their new forever home. They will bring their new family buckets of smiles and tons of love.
If you are finding Monday a little stressful, take 30 seconds to give Elliott a virtual headsmooth....and relax!
The lovely Dewi enjoying a hay ring sent in by one of our amazing supporters.
This boy is absolutely delightful and does the cutest butt shakes when housekeeping visits his enclosure.
He's desperately looking for a new wifebun and family of his own and he promises to make you smile with his little wiggles everyday.

We've worked so hard over the last few weeks finishing all the repairs and maintenance jobs which have run so late due to the awful start to the year weatherwise. We've got one small job left, but we are now able to help 4-5 rabbits in need of rescue support.
BUT we need your help to cover the cost of neutering and vaccines for new arrivals!
Thank you to Karen for thinking of the buns at Nibbles on her Birthday this year! The funds raised via your birthday fundraiser will be placed towards the neutering and vaccination costs of new arrivals.
We hope you have a great day!
Know your limits!
If there was one piece of advice I would give to anyone passionate about animals, it would be that!
Knowing your limits whether as an individual or as a rescue is vitally important! They say that the road to hell is paved with good intentions and this couldn't be more true for those of us passionate about animals.
All too often it's easy to think that one more animal won't make that much difference, but remember there's always that last straw that broke the camel's back. At some stage you will fail ALL the animals in your care if you take on too much.
We absolutely hate having to continue to turn animals away, but I know that, under our current circumstances, taking in more at this time will fail them all. We are months behind with annual repairs, we've had to write off other work and we are still seriously struggling to meet our monthly running cost.
We are at our limits physically right now and adding in even one more rabbit will take up time we simply don't have. There's cleaning the pen, vet trips for vaccines and neutering and ensuring that the new bun is settling ok. It may not seem like much but it will use the small amount of time available to finish repair work which will keep our other buns safe, dry and cosy in the fast approaching winter.
Once we've finished the work we will be able to offer help to a couple more buns, but we can't offer any further spaces, as we are financially unable to cover vital costs involved in reopening all our housing. It would leave the buns without sufficient funding for veterinary care, we don't have enough staff to ensure pens are cleaned properly and regularly, and we won't be able to provide enough feed and bedding.
It seems really unfair, and we all feel really guilty when we say no, but we have a duty of care to all the buns currently in our care and we have to know and recognise our limits when it comes to keeping everyman happy, hoppy, and healthy.
Doyle's another bun to have been in the property ladder at the centre, he's also upgraded to a bigger pen which is more open and he hope will help him continue to grow in confidence around people.
He's come on leaps and bounds while being with us, but can still remain a little nervous and with more space we hope he will continue to grow in confidence while he continues to wait patiently for his forever home.

Monday lunch break, you're halfway through the day already! Elliott sends you some love by sharing his lunch with you all.
One of our least favourite jobs! If anyone has found a better, quicker and more effective way to remove fur from the mesh please let us know! So far using a brush seems to be our most effective method, but no one likes doing it.
Don't worry I didn't escape the chore, I did the outsides!!
