Marlow would like to say a really big thank you to Miss Maggie's Supper Box Fund for the lovely trays of wet food. We are so grateful. These will be used following his dental early next week, so it won't be too long now before he will be ready to find his forever home 🐾

Hello friends, we are Sparkle and Dory. Sparkle says she is about 6 years old, spayed, vaccinated, etc. I am a long-haired daschund who is deaf, I love playing with my bestie Dory, and we are looking for a comfy chair together. Dory is a dacschund x about 19 months old. She is spayed, vaccinated, etc. Dory has a little problem with one eye and requires eye drops daily. She is a good girl and doesn't mind having them as long as there is some tidbits of cheese on offer. I went to stay with a family but I missed my bestie so much they returned me. I wear a little bell so my foster mums know where I am! We are a little spoilt as we sleep upstairs at night and snuggle together. Not long and we will be attending the battle of Evesham medieval festival. We love this event as it’s usually nice and warm! Come and see us down by the waterfront. Open Saturday and Sunday. We will post pictures on the days of our stall! Come and say hello and spend a few pounds on our stall! This is a dog friendly event. 😘🐶

We will also be attending the Gloucestershire vintage and country extravaganza again this year. This is from the Friday 2nd August until Sunday 4th August. Come and say hello, plenty to buy, lots of dogs to see! 🐶

We are looking for help to transport one of our dogs to our vets in Evesham so he can have a dental and then to bring him back to his foster home.
We need this done on the 6th aug he will need to be at the vets for 9.15 am and then returned from the vets between 3- 5pm depending on him waking up from his dental
The journey we need covering is

Collection would be from Yate, South Gloucestershire, BS37
Coming home I'd be prepared to drive to meet him at car park of Best Western Bristol North The Gables Hotel GL12 8DL, just off junction 14 of the M5

Please meet Dora she is a 16 month old Dashie cross chi
She is a friendly happy outgoing little girl who is looking for her forever home
She needs to live with another small to medium dog to live with.
She is still learning about house training and can still be a naughty puppy by stealing things and chewing things occasionally.
She is cat friendly and can live with kids 10 plus
She doesn’t like to be left for long periods of time.

Marvin is 2/3 years old

In the few weeks that Marvin has been with us we have seen a major change in him. He has always been clean in the house and quiet overnight but started out very wary and scared of his own shadow. For example, when the toaster popped he ran and hid in the back of his crate, also despite walking fairly well on the lead he had to be tempted out of the crate to get the lead on him. Now as soon as he sees or hears the lead he is bouncing around the door thrusting his head out for the lead to go on. Marvin travels happily in the car once encouraged in to it.
I believe the biggest step forward came when he had another dog in the house for a few days, I think a multi dog house will suit Marvin best.
Marvin is a large dog, 28 inches to the shoulder and despite being happy around children his clumsiness may not suit small children hence I would suggest at least 10 old children plus
So far Marvin has shown very little prey drive around the wildlife where we live. He has made many doggy friends in our local park and a lot of human admirers.
Once you have gained Marvin’s trust he is a very loving companion despite being a serious food thief.

An unusual transport request but please can you help?

A group of volunteers are once again attending The Gloucestershire Vintage & Countryside Extravaganza with a stall to raise money & awareness of Evesham Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue.

On Sunday 4th August we need the help of someone with a large estate car or van, to move items from the show at South Cerney Airfield, GL7 5QD back to Worcester, WR5.

Ideally your vehicle would arrive & be parked behind our stall by 10am on the Sunday morning, giving you the ability to spend the day at the show & then leave after 5pm (possibly nearer 6pm) to drive to Worcester. Volunteers would meet you at Worcester to help unload the items & put them back into storage. Please note this whole event is dog friendly, as long as dogs are kept on a lead - therefore no need to leave your dogs at home.

LOCAL BEDDING APPEAL

We are running desperately low on bedding at our childswickham foster home.

We are in need of the following
Duvet covers
Sheets
Blankets/throws
Sleeping bags
Towels

Unfortunately we are full on duvets unless a single or a sleeping bag. We also cannot accept pillows or cushions due to the dogs ripping them up! MARVIN settling in to his foster home. Though not quite ready for his forever home Marvin has come on in leaps and bounds since arriving at his foster home. With people he knows he shows a lot of affection. He loves the company of other dogs, walks well on the lead but is a little wary of getting into the car. Once in he travels happily. Marlow is not ready for adoption yet but is doing really well. He loves his walks & with regular exercise is getting stronger & starting to build up his muscles. The other day he really enjoyed a visit to the rose garden at Tyntesfield 🌸🌺💐

If you can afford to send a donation towards her ongoing vets bills that will help us massively, you can make a donation towards the medication by going to our website lurcher.org.uk where you will find a link to our Paypal account. If you would like to buy her a tube of the special cream we would be very grateful but it is about £21 pound a tube, or there is a spray, if you could afford a small bag of royal canin pug puppy food , or a tube of manuka honey.

Please say hello to Alma bonita this name is Portuguese and it means beautiful soul,so this little soul really deserved a very special name,words fail me to try and describe the atrocity that has been handed out to Alma by an inhumane monstrous human,the suffering she will have endured is beyond comprehension,the hunger alone to be in this condition,I just can't imagine being that starving,Alma's skin is red,hot to touch,sore,itchy,cracked and scabby,Alma has obviously been to the vets,she has eye cream,special shampoo, antibiotics,antibiotic cream,special cream that we have to plaster her from top to toe with,she is wearing a baby grow to help stop her from scratching and opening her paper thing skin,the smell from her skin condition is also terrible, I'm sure you will all be heart broken and upset to see this poor little mite.

Marlow is settling in well with his foster family & today accompanied them on a trip to the seaside at Clevedon. We are building up his walking so alternated walkies with time in his foster brother's buggy. Marlow enjoyed the sights, sounds & smells & especially meeting people & other dogs on the pier 🥰

We have managed to finalise the costs for the bedding sets. We will do the sets on a pre-order basis and would require a deposit, which would be half of the payment upfront. The timescale from us ordering would be approx 90 days due to them being made to order.

Prices are as follows:
Single - £50
Double - £60
King - £65
Super king - £70
Postage approx - £7

If we order over 60, we might be able to get a slight discount on these, which we would then pass that discount onto you.

We will only be doing the blue colour due to this being designed specifically for EGLR.
