We have an opportunity for a part loan of one of my livery’s horses . He’s a very sweet thoroughbred, just coming back into work , but been very well behaved so far . Unfortunately the owner is pressed for time so struggling to keep the continuity going .

If you are a theraplate sceptic like I was then please take some time to read my recomendation for the lovely Kelly West
My horse is currently recovering from a pretty nasty stifle injury and after months of veternary treatment there is nothing else the vet can do (existing issues and age). Theraplate sesssions were suggested to me as part of her rehab programme however due to a bad previous experience I was reluctant to try these.
After a bit of research I decided to contact Kelly who has been nothing but helpful from the start. She assured me she would work my mare and make sure she was comfortable every step of the way and she has absolutely stuck to her word! Bonnie, although absolutely lovely in every way, can be a bit of an awkward madame but Kelly has worked with her to build her confidence up on the theraplate and made sure she researched into which setting would benefit her injury and also keeps in mind that she can be uncomfortable standing in the same postition for a while. If she jumps off or has a silly moment, Kelly never ever looses her rag with her and takes the time to make sure she is happy before continuing the session.
I am over the moon with how my horse has responded to the session, she has had 3 now with a 4th this week and for the first time in months has walked like a normal horse despite her injury and arthitis and her physio has been able to do some exercises with her that she has never been able to do in the 6 years she's been working with her.
I can't thank Kelly enough, she's gone above and beyond to help Bonnie and now her future as a happy hacker is looking a little bit brighter. If you're sceptical, nervous or have a worried horse like I do then Kelly is definetly the person for you.
