Lovely horse ride around Broomfield
After rain comes sunshine. We had a gorgeous ride around Broomfield today. Look at that view! Car drivers were respectful, a big truck even turned its motor off and we walked through a deep flood. Birthday ride

Back from her walk, our new club horse, Misty. At the moment she is overweight and not fit. Our job is to get her fit and slim(mer). She is very friendly and rearing to go, but we are being careful not to overdo it. Daily 30 minutes walk for now and a grazing muzzle. She will be a great club horse once we'll get her back on form :)
Bluebells on Broomfield Common
We've got bluebells on Cothelstone Hill, but they are pretty amazing on Broomfield Common too ... and we heard a cuckoo :)

Here is a little snippet of our ride on the Quantocks today. Road ride 4 Jan 2023
We did a road ride today and want to give a big shout out to all the wonderful drivers who passed us wide (where possible) and slow. Thank you, Openreach van driver for stopping in a lay-by and letting us pass. Bluebell track Cothelstone
Because of the heat, we went out early and took it easy. They've done a great job on the Bluebell track on Cothelstone. The narrow gully has gone and because they've installed drainage, it hopefully won't come back. Riding on the Quantocks
The first bluebells have started to flower on the Quantocks! Sorry about the quality of the video. It's the blue haze you can see under the trees in the distance. Off road again, hurrah!
The ground has dried up and we can go off road again, hurrah! Ernie+Marina, Cherry+Beverly Miles, Templar+Katrina Resurrection and Sovereign+Marion Nieuwenhuizen enjoyed a nice canter on Cothelstone. Riding along the lanes around Broomfield
After the ice had gone from the roads, what a glorious day for a ride it was today. It's too muddy to go off road at the moment, but we are very lucky to have relatively quiet lanes to ride on. Most motorists were patient and passed wide and slow with only one van going a bit too fast for our liking. Cherry, Sovereign and Ernie are such a joy to ride! #ridingonthelanes #broomfield #Somerset
Cantering in Wind Down
