For day 2, we'd like to highlight Pet Blood Bank UK
This amazing charity collects blood from dogs to then use in emergency situations.
My dogs, Bindi and Noodle have both donated and Izzy the Flatcoated Retreiver who we walk has also donated with Pet Blood Bank UK.
If your dog is good around new people, is between 1 and 8 years old, fit, over 25kg, healthy and willing, they'd be perfect to donate too.
The next session is at Millcroft Veterinary Group Workington, CA14 3YP on Saturday 06th January 2024.
I don't think the dogs were too impressed with the change in weather today.... bring back the crisp, dry winter wonderland please.
Walk 1 would be described as spaniel-tastic.
Walk 2 would be described as Doodle-icious
This week is so we thought we would share 7 charities close to our hearts.
Today's charity shout out goes to Hospice at Home West Cumbria
As many of you know, I set myself a number of challenges during 2023 to raise money for this amazing charity. I have run 5 10k races, 3 10mile races, 5 half marathons, 1 full marathon and climbed to the summit of Mt Toubkal (North Africa's highest mountain). In doing this, I have raised over £1000 which I'm very proud of.
If you'd like to donate to this charity, my Just Giving page is
https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/thegreatlevoichallenge
Give them a follow to keep up with what they get up to and get involved with their fundraising activities yourself.

On our dog walk this evening, we came across a hedgehog running about. It was below 0°C and hedgehogs are usually hibernating at this time of year, so it wasn't a sight I thought I'd see today.
I scooped him up and took him back to my car, and wrapped him in a dog blanket. I had 30 minutes or so to wait for Isabelle to finish her dance class, so Mr. Hedgehog and I became friends.
He's now in our house sleeping (in the coldest room of the house), having gobbled up some dog kibble and meat and drinking some water.
The question is... what do I do next?
Is there anyone who has an insulated Hedgehog box he can go and hibernate in?
I'll definitely be investing / asking someone to make me a hibernating box for our garden for the future, but for now, this little man needs a home for winter.
It's so cold this morning that when I was pouring the Bunnies water, it was freezing instantly! 🥶
(Ive now got a flask of hot water to mix with it to hopefully keep the temp up)
Absolutely loooving this weather at the moment!!
We really do have some amazing customers!
The kids joined me on the pet visits this evening. The first stop off was at some rabbits. In the box of food was a pressie for Izzy and Finn - chocolate! They were very happy.
We then went to feed Teddy the cat, and there were all sorts of goodies left from them, including this Iron Man mask for Finn. Poor Teddy was a little confused, though 🤣
The Adventure Day dogs are having a blast this week. What lucky pups
Teddy, Buddy Teddy: all very cute, but easily distracted - They obviously saw something far more interesting than Mattias as the camera clicked 🤣
Guess who had the tastiest treats today 🤣
What. A. Day.
I took Ernie, Moss, Gwen, Mirk, Arya, Noodle, and my Dad for a hike up Dodd. The main road is shut at the moment, which meant we had the whole wood to ourselves (pretty much). It even tried to snow when we got to the top. We now have 6 tired dogs and 2 tired humans.
Give us a kiss Bobby
I'm really missing having my dog van at the moment (it's still in the garage), but if I did have it, I wouldn't get super cute pics like this! Holly, Mabel, Ted, Millie and Jax (& Bobby who couldn't fit in the boot) had great fun racing around the fields this morning.
We love a woodland walk
My adventure day pack got VERY muddy on our walk today. Luckily, I parked by the lake for a clean off before home time.
When little met large 🥰
How cute is our newest recruit?!
Meet Olive, the 11 week old Cockapoo. We can't wait to watch this little one grow 🥰
Two whole years of Noodle!
Happy Birthday Noodle the Doodle
Another day, another throne pose: Buddy, Millie & Teddy
4 freshly groomed Sproodles don't stay clean, dry and fluffy for long. They had great fun though!
Nellie Labradoodle, Monster, Teddy and Nellie Cockapoo enjoyed a run along the river this afternoon. They were rather pleased it stopped raining for them too
We love the throne in the cemetery. We don't have to ask the dogs to get up and pose. They just do it.
It's very exciting when all three dog walkers accidently head to the same place for their walk. The dogs couldn't believe their luck and loved having a group run about. Hannah, Mattias, and Niamh also enjoyed a well overdue catch-up.
It doesn't get easier having to say goodbye, and when we receive a message from an owner to say their dog has passed over the rainbow bridge, my tummy ties itself in a knot every time.
We had the sad news that Roxy passed this week. She's been a regular face in the LDW pack for the last 2.5 years, so it's not going to be the same without her.
Roxy would get so excited when we went to collect her that she'd spin in circles at the door. She also used to pull us back to her house when she realised it was nearly home time as she knew there was a big juicy treat waiting for her.
🌈 Rest in peace, Roxy. You'll be with your brother and all your old LDW pals now 🌈
Out of all the sticks in the woods, this was the stick of choice for Millie, Seymour and Pip
Pip is now fully vaccinated, so I thought I'd introduce her to Bindi to start her getting used to other dogs. I dont think Bindi even noticed Pip as she was too busy trying to make friends with the family rabbit. Pip, on the other hand, certainly did notice Bindi and hid between my boots 🤣
How many dogs can you see?
Before and After their morning walk: Sam, Belle, Kebeg, Izzy & Oti

Some of today's Happy dogs enjoying their walks
As you know, Noodle donated blood for the first time with a few months ago, then she did an emergency donation a few weeks ago for (this meant she was unable to help today).
Today, it was Bindi's turn to wear the Superdog bandana as she donated blood for the first time.
Dogs have to be 25kg to do this and Bindis weight is about 22-23kg, so I didn't think she'd be able to help. With her Dad being injured recently, it means shorter walks and not so much fell running for Bindi - Bad for the waistline but it meant she was about to donate today as she was Bob in 25kg.
If you have a dog you think would be suitable for donation, give a follow. They come to Workington Millcrofts every few months.
"owwwwwww. But we don't want our walk to end. You're such a spoil sport Mattias"
(Millie, Otis, Millie, Teddy, Alfie & Bailey)
Today, I mixed work and family together and we all enjoyed a lovely autumnal walk around the woods. Kebeg and Arya are perfect dogs for the kids to hold their leads, so they loved being in charge when it was lead time.
Don't you just love a good bench pose?

I do the same dog walk about 4 times a week. I always do this walk clockwise, and we come across th8s set of steps within the first few hundred metres of the walk, so everyone is usually still excitable and full of energy, but I always try and get the dogs to sit and pose. Today, I decided to do the walk the opposite way around, so we came to the steps just as the walk was finishing. The dogs were walking slightly ahead of me today, and we saw them all disappear up the steps. When we caught up with them, they were all sat like this!!! They knew exactly what they needed to do to get their Snif-Snax UK 😂😂 Great work, team! . . . . #professionaldogwalker #packwalk #lakelanddogwalker #cockermouth #snifsnax
The summer months bring out the crowds in the Lake District, so I have to be a bit more switched on about my surroundings. This means less time taking videos and more time listening for other people on the path. Luckily, today, I found a lovely route and it was nice and quiet, so the camera came back out to make a fun video of our day.
Treat time on the summit of Dodd yesterday. (don't worry, Ernie the little Cockapoo got a treat too) #gravybones #treattime #mountainsummit #summit #doddwood #lakedistrict #professionaldogwalker #lakelanddogwalker #labrador #cockapoo #spaniel #walkies #dogwalker
Another day, another hike up Grisedale Pike. There wasn't much snow compared to yesterday, and there was barely any wind, so it felt like a completely different walk. Annie, Juno, Blue, Paddy, Millie, and Mabel had a blast! #snowday #dogsinsnow #mountaindogs #adventuredogs #lakedistrict #Cumbria #professionaldogwalker #lakelanddogwalker #whinlatter #happydogs #packlife #packwalk
A much drier day for our Expawdition Dogs today. We ventured up Dodd, doing over 8km with 536m of ascent. We had to spend a bit of time on lead today as the trails were busy, but that just meant the off lead time was even more fun. #lakedistrict #cockermouth #keswick #dogwalks #professionaldogwalker #Adventure #packwalk #expawditions #lakelanddogwalker #dogs #doddwood #wainwrights #labrador #spaniel #cockapoo
We have a new name for our Adventure Days. They're now called EXPAWDITION Days. We thought it was very appropriate 🤣 So, today's Expawdition Dogs were Nellie, Sam, Kali, Otto, and Izzy (Bindi & Noodle), and we ventured into the clouds and onto the summit of Ladyside Pike. This is a new one for me, but I had my husband (@lakelandmountainguides) with me to show me the way. The dogs had great fun and enjoyed their @snifsnaxuk treats on the summit. #adventureday #expawditions #lakelanddogwalker #lakedistrict ##ladysidepike #professionaldogwalker #cockermouth
I was starting to worry she'd got stuck... 🙈 Annie loves sticking her head in holes. I thought I'd video her doing it, not expecting her to crawl right in haha #dogs #dogsoftiktok #sillydog #professionaldogwalker #dogwalkerproblems #cockermouth #hideandseek #Adventure
You know it's cold when the leads are frozen solid! We also had frozen key boxes, frozen gate locks, and frozen van doors to contend with today, too ❄️🙈 #dogwalkerproblems #dogownerproblems #bitchilly #professionaldogwalker
In future, when trying to get a nice video of the dogs and children, I must remember to do it BEFORE Finn has fizzy sweets 🤣🤣🤣
It's so cold this morning that when I was pouring the Bunnies water, it was freezing instantly! 🥶 (Ive now got a flask of hot water to mix with it to hopefully keep the temp up)
My adventure day pack got VERY muddy on our walk today. Luckily, I parked by the lake for a clean off before home time.
Today's Adventure Day Dogs were treated to blue skies, sunshine and the Coffin route at Loweswater. We did a 10km loop onto the fells and back along the lake shore. The livestock weren't about (apart from a mum and calf on the farmyard) so we enjoyed lots of off lead playbtime. #Loweswater #coffinroute #packlife #bernedoodle #labradoodle #goldendoodle #shihtpoo #Collie #miniatureschnauzer #lakedistrict #adventuredays #professionaldogwalker #dogwalkerlife #lakedistrict #Cockermouth #lakelanddogwalker
We spent ages playing hide and seek in the long grass this morning. It was mostly Finnley hiding and the dogs seeking him out however here I am hiding from Finnley. I videoed him trying to find me and have only just watched it back. I promise he's not drunk 🤣🤣🤣 @lakeland_levois #hideandseek
We've had a day in the garden today, chopping, planting and burning. Noodle loved freely wandering round and got very excited when she discovered the children's sandpit 😂
The funniest thing happened when we went to visit South Lakes zoo today... All was quiet when we reached the Arctic Wolves enclosure. I demonstrated to Isabelle and Finnley how a wolf howls (as you do), so they copied and suddenly all the wolves joined in too! So now it's official.... We speak wolf! South Lakes Safari Zoo
