Does anybody else's dog do this.....every time I stand still on the beach Ozzy has to dig around my feet ! It can be a sign of boredom, or pent up energy apparently, personally I think he's just trying to cause mischief by getting me to fall over as I forgot to bring his ball with me 😂 😆 😂

Whilst humans may love them, New Year's fireworks can be ruff for our pets 🫣🎆 Keep them safe, calm and happy with these 6 simple tips!

Here are some of the things to keep away from your dogs to ensure a fully Happy Christmas for all.

Thank you to everyone that came to the Christmas party last Thursday. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves, it was lovely to see all the dogs together. A very big thank you to the Judge Kathy, she did a wonderful job trying to choose between all your gorgeous dogs. Photos to follow on in the next few days.

I would also like to say a huge thank you to everyone that bought raffle tickets, and to those who donated prizes. Your kind generosity raised £91.50 for Medical Detection Dogs.

Finally I just want to wish you all a wonderful Christmas and I look forward to seeing you all back in classes in January.

Many Thanks

Sharon 🎅🐺🌲🥳

With Christmas literally around the corner please choose your dog's gifts very carefully.

Rawhide chews can be dangerous for dogs and can cause choking, intestinal blockages, and other health problems:

Choking - Strong chewers can break off large pieces of rawhide that can get stuck in a dog's esophagus or digestive tract.

Intestinal blockages - If swallowed, large pieces of rawhide can cause intestinal blockages that can be life-threatening.

Toxic chemicals - Chemicals and preservatives in rawhide can transfer to a dog's digestive system and cause stomach upsets or allergic reactions.

You could consider safer, more digestible alternatives, such as:

Frozen carrots
Pig, cow, or venison ears
Antlers
Himalayan chews
Bully sticks
Tendon chews
Buffalo hooves

I'm sure the majority of you are now aware of the severely bad weather forecast that we have for the next 2 days. Bearing this in mind please think very carefully when considering whether or not to take your dogs for a walk.......
..NO DOG HAS EVER DIED FROM NOT HAVING A WALK !

There are so many things you can do indoors to occupy, stimulate and play with your dog. For example Scentwork, hide your dog's favourite toy, or treats around your home for them to find. Give them a snuffle mat/ball with treats to sniff out. Teach your dog some tricks. My favourite is to cuddle up on the sofa and watch a great film together...as long as your dog can toilet, there are so many things you can do to entertain them indoors.

Please do not risk your own lives, or your dog's by going outdoors if this forecast is as bad as threatened. Stay indoors and stay safe please 💜🐺🙏

Raffa’s Rascals

My name is Sharon and I have had dogs in my family all my life, ranging from a black Labrador, to Cocker Spaniels and German Shepherds. I have been working with dogs and been a dog trainer for over 11 years and I love every minute of it. My business has been named after my beloved GSD Raffa (pictured above), who I lost very suddenly on 3rd July, 2018 aged just over 13 years old. He was a fabulous dog and is missed dearly. I hope to work with you to create, improve or witness the fantastic bond you have with your 4 legged best friends.
