We can all agree that UK wildlife need extra care, especially going into the winter season. So, celebrate World Kindness Day with WildThings!
Here are a few things you can do:
🐾Take a trip down to your local lake and feed the birds with our Swan and Duck Food.
🐾Create a Hedgehog highway to help all hogs travel safely from garden to garden.
🐾Set up a feeding station in your garden to help foxes stay nourished through the winter..
Let us know if you try out any of these!

Spooky season is upon us! Did you know that there's no reason to fear foxes? Despite some negative press in recent years, foxes aren't actually considered to be dangerous and do not attack humans, unless they are rabid, which is extremely rare.

more than 100,000 hedgehogs are killed on Britain's roads every year - more than any other mammal!
Today is so why not walk to work, cycle into town or discover your local area to save the animals that risk their lives near the roads each day.

The best wildlife to spot in September 🍂 What wildlife have you seen recently?
you have to be kidding me?!
The cutest little face! 🦇

September is usually the start of the autumn juvenile season. These juveniles would most likely survive if they had been born a little earlier in the year, but now it will be a hard race for them to put on enough weight to survive hibernation. If you spot one then contact your local rescue for advice 🦔
These two definitely look like they would cause some mischief! 🐿️

Did You Know feeding ducks bread can increase the spread of diseases. A carbohydrate-rich diet leads to greater defecation, and bird feaces harbour bacteria responsible for numerous diseases, including avian botulism. Mouldy bread can also cause aspergillosis, a fatal lung infection! To keep ducks and swans safe feed them WildThings 🦢

Want your business to be the top-listed Pet Store/pet Service?
At Spike’s World we believe that caring for our native wildlife is as important as feeding our own pets - and we're delighted that so many people share that belief.
That’s why we’ve created our WildThings range. It’s a selection of nutritious foods, ideally balanced to supplement the natural diet of our wild garden visitors.
Whether you create a space in your garden that’s a haven for hibernating mini beasts, or actively encourage badgers and foxes onto your lawn, we know that every little really does help.
Regularly feeding WildThings nutrient rich food actively helps wild creatures and means they can cope better during the leaner months.
Like everything in Spike’s World, all our wild animal foods are formulated with help from wildlife hospitals.
