Mission stop the Bouncing, help with lead work, and stop the persistent attention seeker and help with the issues with her fellow four paw pals!
Positive interaction from the owners and a better understanding of what is going on.

Please please please keep your dog safe today. It’s due to hit highs of 29°. Already it is far too hot to be taking them out for a walk. No dog has died from missing a walk, take them very early morning or late at night. Games indoors will occupy them enough in the heat.

Remember in the hot weather we need to watch the pooches heat too.

Socialising safely. (Part 1) Skye (the Red) doesn’t know how to interact with other dogs. She has no boundaries, this is her first time interacting with another dog, in this environment. I have used a muzzle for her and the dogs safety. As you can see she is quite tense in her body language, no fluid wag in her tail or body and is unsure. Her ears are back and she is shaking off like she is wet which is a sign of stress/anxiety or uncertainty. We spent 30/40 minutes helping to understand when enough is enough and how to interact, she doesn’t always need to be in the other dogs space which is what she needs to learn. Thundershirt and Kong she’s one lucky girl x

So I have tried, isolation and we still have the constant barking and I have let her play games near the hoover and still barking! So I have 2 options now, a licki Mat with lots of lovely things on it or this. I don’t want to keep using food as an option. You can see her reaction to the hoover before and then once I clip the lead on she chooses a different option. As the hoover passes in front of her she has to make the right choice. Glad to see she did. Next phase dropping the lead to see what happens. More to come watch this space 🐾🐶🐾
